Stephen Colbert Shows President Obama How to Appear Angry Over the Oil Spill
Stephen has a lesson for President Obama on how to appear angry about the disaster in the Gulf... beating up Tony Hayward.

If he does we will be attacking Greenland, or maybe Chaves had something to do with the oil spill.
It would be nice to see the end of BP, and halliburton.
If you didn't get mad for going into Iraq. I don't think you will get mad about anything. Well maybe just before you choke on the oil.
I got a feather to stick in your capped pipe.
To think Obama missed such a rare opportunity to play to the cameras and confirm the greatest fear of the racists that he really is an angry black man.
I think this should call for a "cage match" type thing. (I bet $50 on the angry black guy)
:)

Thank goodness for comic relief. And this skit was exactly that. I loved the part where the birds were supposed to be pecking out the guy's eyes. Reminded me of the movie, "The Birds"
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

What the...?
I realize Colbert isn't to be taken seriously, but beating someone up is not cool, even in jest.

why not? they still do it in the US off-site Gulag Archipelagos and other black site locations.
There are movies where the actors pretend to shoot other people but that's just what it is, a movie and pretend. This is a skit and it's pretend, not real and I doubt seriously that Colbert is encouraging people to beat up other people in real life.

it is
Personally I wouldn't have a problem beating the shit out of the entire BP corporation.
It was too tame if anything.
These sociopaths--and Hayward has confirmed himself to be one multiple times--deserve nothing less than to be kicked out of the gene pool. Then seize all their assets and send their family to the Gulf to "volunteer" as clean-up crew.
"What Mrs. Hayward, feeling ill? Hmm, you don't look so good. You must have overindulged on gruel last night."
Seizing assets is something I would agree to, but beating someone up? Nope.

This IS right wing satire after all ...
This is what the Gee-o-pee both wish for, and would condemn if it ever actually happened in the really real world.
aiming at is satire. Actually kicking ass doesn't really solve any problem does it. Kicking ass, any ass, Iraqi ass for example is a Republican shtick.

This skit is a perfect metaphor for the BP's handling of their public relations since the disaster. Every time they open their mouth they do more damage to themselves.

I'm still waiting for America's transformative moment.. Like when folks wake up and say hydrogen fuel cell technology really isn't "cost prohibitive" as so many have lauded time and again after the money machine said so.. And it doesn't kill oceans! Sure it takes fuel to make hydrogen, and a little sodium hydroxide... Any intelligent Americans out there? This bit is funny but the reality is anything but.
You mean something other then transforming the country into a Nation of couch potato's guzzling 24 packs of ethanol?
the world's best and only beverage?
