Our own managing editor here at Crooks and Liars, Tina Dupuy was a guest on Cenk Uygur's The Young Turks on Current TV this Friday night as part of his Power Panel segment, along with The Huffington Post's Amanda Terkel and Lucia Graves, and participated in a discussion on Newt Gingrich's recent rise in the polls and on whether overall President Obama has been good on women's issues despite the recent decision by HHS's Kathleen Sebelius to restrict access to the morning after pill for teens.

And here is C&L's Richard Eskow from Thursday night's show discussing Mitt Romney's new ad which may just remind Christian Republican voters of his Mormonism and the power play between the Republican elite which wants to see Romney elected and the base which can't stand Romney. And later as part of Uygur's Power Panel discussing the unfortunate bipartisan agreement over the horrible Internet piracy bills being pushed through the Congress and the Defense Authorization Bill.

It has a lot of potential.

Great to see the folks from C&L on the show.

I'm not sure this is the case. It's always struck me that Romney's problems with his own party are because he's rich enough so that he doesn't have to kiss the @sses of the Rep PTBs - the Kochs, BushCos, and CheneyDynes for his daily bread - unlike the others, (see: Gingrich, Newt). He didn't have to "play ball" to get on the ticket. Ultimately I don't think it would matter if he were a druid or a Satan worshiper, just so long as he would take orders, but Mitt doesn't seem like a guy who feels he needs to take orders from anybody.

Nice to have both TYTs and C&Lers on the teeveetron though.

Tina did well. Way to represent Tina. At the risk of being a chauvinist; you looked wonderful.

With things so bad in the world, OWS being insulted with stormtroopers, Obama toothless, Europe imploding, and the economy hijacked by thugs in congress, and corporations sitting on their ill gotten gains, it's good Current, RT, people like Uygur and Olbermann are the new way to get at the truth. Blogs as always are doing the hard work of informing us with the truth as well. Congrats.

Do not attribute any action to malice that can be explained by stupidity.

is a fresh approach although I think that it could use some polish.

The power panel is the best part of the show.

So far as TyJuanOn (below), instead of shooting arrows like a flamer, she should demonstrate some spine and name her favorite commentator. Cenk has his opinions, and his preference, as a progressive, for Capitalism flattens his appeal to non-liberal progressives; but his perspective is sharp and he supports the OWS movement. That puts him on the right side of history.
