Our own managing editor Tina Dupuy joined the set of The Young Turks along with The American Prospect's Paul Waldman as part of Cenk Uygur's Power Panel this Tuesday. The topics for the panel included Mitt Romney's problems with Latino voters and whether this helps or harms either candidate in the Presidential election.

As Tina noted, it may be a wash given Romney's huge deficits in the polls already with that voting bloc, however as Paul noted, it's never a good thing for Mitt Romney when voters are being reminded of his extremely harsh rhetoric on immigration he made during the primary race.

They also discussed crazy Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer doing her victory dance today after the Supreme Court struck down most of her state's "papers please" SB1070 law. They wrapped things up talking about Romney's spokesperson dodging the question 20 times today on Romney's stance the court's ruling.

Our own managing editor here at Crooks and Liars, Tina Dupuy, joined The Daily Caller's Caroline May and Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate in Maryland, Dan Bongino, to discuss the shooting of Trayvon Martin on Thom Hartmann's "The Big Picture on Russia Today" on Friday.

Hartmann opened up the segment noting that ALEC (American Legislative Exchange Council), the NRA and Walmart, who were all behind the push for the “Stand Your Ground” law in Florida, haven't taken any responsibility for the content of the legislation, and talked about Geraldo Rivera's ridiculous remarks that lay blame at the feet of the victim for getting shot because of the clothes he was wearing.

May, of course, trotted out the standard line we're hearing from the right: that the "Stand Your Ground" law doesn't apply in this case because Zimmerman was pursuing Martin so discussion of that law should be "taken off the table," and that maybe everyone “just needs to take a deep breath” and wait for “justice to be served.” Hartmann responded by pointing out the obvious here, that it has not been served. The man's still walking free over a month after the shooting.

As Tina rightfully pointed out, one of the saddest things about this incident is that it's not isolated and pointed to the case of Oscar Grant, who was fatally shot by the police in Oakland back in 2009. And when you have a case like Martin's, which draws more public attention, it should open up a wider conversation about our gun laws and the reasons why Zimmerman is not off the street.

From this Monday's The Young Turks, host Cenk Uygur, David Sirota and our own managing editor here at Crooks & Liars, Tina Dupuy discussed the recent boycott of Rush Limbaugh's sponsors, Bill Maher's defense of Rush Limbaugh, concerns over those boycotts leading to censorship and where freedom of speech begins and ends versus the right to having your voice heard over the public airways.

From this Monday's The Young Turks, Cenk Uygur and his "Power Panel" of our own managing editor, Tina Dupuy, Michael Shure and Ben Mankiewicz discuss whether the Obama administration made a genius move putting Republicans in a box on the issue of contraception or if they're fumbling their way through and giving too much deference to the Catholic bishops and the likes of Chris Matthews and E.J. Dionne.

Our managing editor, Tina Dupuy, discusses the violence in Oakland this weekend and the harm it does to the Occupy movement as a whole with Thom Hartmann. As she pointed out in her column earlier this week and again on the show, the actions of a few cast a pall on the entire movement at a time where they're influencing the national dialogue and direction of our country.

What do you think? How do you think the Occupy movement should address acts by people claiming to be associated with the movement who do illegal things?

From this Monday night's The Young Turks on Current TV, Crooks and Liars managing editor Tina Dupuy, Turk's regular Ben Mankiewicz and Color of Change's Rashad Robinson discuss whether the Obama administration is finally going to crack down on the banks and whether we see newly appointed RMBS co-chair Eric Schneiderman or Treasury Secretary win out that battle.

Tina and Ben were hopeful we might finally see something finally be done. Robinson reminded the viewers that without pressure from progressive groups, we might not have finally seen President Obama finally make some moves towards some accountability. And Cenk wasn't so optimistic after the stalling and lack of accountability we've seen so far.

For more on that, here's Taibbi's take over at Rolling Stone -- A Victory for the Public on Foreclosures?.

Dave Dayen has more on whether we might see Schneiderman and this working group accomplish anything -- Schneiderman’s RMBS Working Group: Resources, Jurisdiction and Will.

And from C&L here's more on the pressure that's been put on the Obama administration to act from Mike Lux -- Word of the Day: Accountability and from Ken Quinnell -- AFL-CIO's Trumka Joins Chorus Calling for Investigation of Banks.

Next topic for the panel was the recent article at Politico -- Death of bipartisanship has killed the Washington deal. As they all noted, Republicans gave up on bipartisanship a long time ago and progressives haven't had too many real victories in quite some time given how far our politicians on all sides of the aisle have moved to the extreme right.

And one final note, C&L has been in talks with Current TV about Tina doing some correspondent work for them this election season and possibly covering CPAC next week. If you'd like to get a chance to see more of Tina on Current, send them a note and let them know how you feel.

You can contact them at feedback@current.com

Thanks everyone and we'll keep you posted!

Prior to Tuesday night's State of the Union Address from President Obama, The Young Turks Power Panel of Crooks and Liars managing editor, Tina Dupuy, United Republic's Zaid Jilani and comedian and Stephanie Miller Show regular John Fugelsang discuss what progressives would like to hear the President say during his speech.

Much agreement on running against the "do nothing" Congress we've got right now and Tina and John were right. Were Cenk to get his wish and the President would come out swinging in the manner he described here at Republicans, he'd be painted as the angry black man. The Republicans and the Villagers in the media would have a field day with him.

From Thursday night's Power Panel on Current TV's The Young Turks, C&L's own managing editor Tina Dupuy joined Think Progress' Zaid Jilani and The Huffington Post's Zach Carter to discuss whether Newt Gingrich is going to quit throwing bombs into the GOP presidential primary race with his attack ads on Mitt Romney.

I also included a portion of their second topic, the right wing talking point that our civilian leadership always have to "listen to the commanders" on the ground as an excuse for perpetual military engagements and how well that would have worked out for us if we'd listened to the Pat Buchanan's of the world and his ilk.

Their topics... are progressives better off with Ben Nelson retiring from the Senate? And has President Obama moved so far to the right that he should be considered a Republican?

Our own managing editor here at Crooks and Liars, Tina Dupuy was a guest on Cenk Uygur's The Young Turks on Current TV this Friday night as part of his Power Panel segment, along with The Huffington Post's Amanda Terkel and Lucia Graves, and participated in a discussion on Newt Gingrich's recent rise in the polls and on whether overall President Obama has been good on women's issues despite the recent decision by HHS's Kathleen Sebelius to restrict access to the morning after pill for teens.

And here is C&L's Richard Eskow from Thursday night's show discussing Mitt Romney's new ad which may just remind Christian Republican voters of his Mormonism and the power play between the Republican elite which wants to see Romney elected and the base which can't stand Romney. And later as part of Uygur's Power Panel discussing the unfortunate bipartisan agreement over the horrible Internet piracy bills being pushed through the Congress and the Defense Authorization Bill.
