Countdown: Sarah Palin's Turkey Pardoning Fiasco
By Heather Friday Nov 21, 2008 7:45am
From Countdown Nov. 20, 2008, David Shuster brings us Sarah Palin's extremely creepy turkey pardoning and post-pardoning interview from Wasilla, Alaska. The whole thing plays like something out of the Twilight Zone or the latter stages of Fargo. As a couple of my fellow C&L'ers pointed out after watching this, if Sarah Palin is a "friend to all creatures great and small" someone needs to let the wolves and polar bears know about that change of heart...lol. Images of Palin and "creatures" are more likely to be those of high powered rifles and helicopters than any sort of compassion in my book. And she does seem to use those family members selectively for what's politically convenient at the time doesn't she?

This should go down in history as the defining moment of her flash-in -the-pan career. Not only the obvious hypocracies of the whole event (holding it AT the slaughterhouse) but her cheery, awe-shucks speech about absolutely nothing.
(Especially note the guy in the back doing the beheadings - he keeps looking back at Sarah as if to say "are you sure you want this in your shot??") Bye Sarah.
Please stop covering Sarah Palin.
I agree with you---her 15 minutes were up weeks ago. The best comparison I've heard to covering her was to a serious car wreck---you know it's gross and disgusting but can't resist looking anyway. Maybe the peep show enablers at the MSM will get a clue and cover something more redemptive.
I UNDERSTAND why people don't want to see this walking disaster, but think again:
The Repugnicans were so thoughtless as to run for POTUS -
A 72 year old male cancer patient with a history of ethics violations and a volatile temper and
This incurious, end times, wildlife strafing, YAY-HOO!
People have short memories.
Let's keep reminding them of that which could have come to pass.
Keep the "what couldve been" right in the news every day.
Car Wreck...
I think the more appropriate illustration would be when a cow gets hit by a train.
You know it's going to end badly, but you still want to watch.
On one hand I agree. On the other keep her as the GOP poster child. That should guarantee us more seats in 2010 than we would have picked up anyway. She probably cost McCain the election, if not she cost him to lose by more than he would have anyway giving Obama a mandate, and now her fellow Republicans are squirming whenever she steps in front of a camera, She is the gift that keeps on giving.
don't forget, it's the repubs and their pundits who keep bringing her up as the up and coming star for the right. e.g., cokie roberts and others.
First Bush now Palin, the GOP star bar just keeps getting lower.
I'll second that.
No, please cover her ad nauseum! Please ensure she's the future of the GOP! Palin in 2012! That way, progressives will continue to rule!
If you can't stand her just turn away. She's gold, Jerry, gold!
I'm not a conspiracy theorist by nature, but I think the media are conspiring to make her look stupid. It's so much fun to watch, now that she's not an immediate threat to the future of the country.
At least, she didn't pardon that turkey from a small plane with a gun...
What a fuckin inept politician she is...in Alaska, she might be seen as a shrewd politician...but I think the rest of the world knows she's a small town hick, with a small town mentality...and she should stay in Alaska.
The fact that so many republican voters thought she was gods gift to the GOP shows just how stupid "the base" is...not one republican friend of mine liked her, not at all.
They were harder on her than I was.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O15G3Ic2nkQ
SO many things wrong with this.
Setting aside the obvious, I love how she says she's thankful that her son is safe in Iraq.
Then she corrects herself and says "relatively safe".
Relatively safe compared to what? The turkeys behind you?
She's the gift that keeps on giving.
Truly a sight to behold, even more to hear.
I cannot wait for the next pearl to creep out of her piehole.
As Forrest Gump would say, 'stupid is as stupid does'.
LOL @ pearl!!
This woman proves over and over again that she is unfit for public office. Doing an interview while a turkey is being killed in the background was disgusting.
I sent that clip to everyone in my address book...
Hasn't she dried up and blown away yet ? Whats taking so long? Shes had her 15 minutes.
I saw the video last night on Countdown. It was a two part masterpiece of Palinism. She first makes an incoherent proclamation giving a huge Tom Turkey it's "freedom" amidst hundreds of other TTs who are waiting to be killed. She then stands in from of the place of the slaughter, while it is going on in back of her. The guy in back is cutting off the Turkeys heads and bleeding them out while she is talking. She then makes one of her patented rambling no subject speeches where she say many words which have little connection to each other and which do not have a coherent line of thought expressed. After this "performance" you ask yourself and anybody else that may be near, What the hell was she talking about. WOW!!! and to think, this women was once the choice of the GOP to be our next Vice-President of the United States of America.
Fuckin dodged THAT bullet?
This country would be crazy if they'd won....the wingnuts would be running wild.
I'm getting a kick out of all the fake outrage about this. People should be outraged someone so stupid almost became second in line to a 70 year-old POTUS.
/focus, people
this is the focused outrage of people who were to be subjected to this ninny as veep.
As in: she can't even do a fluff non-news piece without screwing it up in a big way - they were going to inflict her on us...
Joe Lieberman, "the DEMOCRAT", tried to get her to that second in line to a 70 year-old POTUS.
And then he was REWARDED for coming close to succeeding.
To think that had Lieberman succeeded in his dream of John McCain and Sarah Palin having been elected, she and Todd would be packing right now to make their move to D.C.
The thought that she came within a hair of potentially becoming POTUS makes me physically ill.
There is something so fundamentally wrong with all this.
It speaks to how basically messed up this country is -- no matter who's waiting in the wings.
Catch phrases and buzzwords tumble topsle-turrey from this turkey's pie-hole - the turkey wearing the glasses, that is.
WTF was she saying? I could not watch/listen to the whole thing; her verbal diarrhea makes my head hurt.
I'd be embarrassed to be an Alaskan.
But I'm already embarrassed to be an Arizonan - McSame, Jon(the unions have wrecked the automotive industry) Kyl, Rick (uh-oh I got caught)Renzi and Trent(focus on the family)Franks.
haha....verbal diarrhea....that just made me laugh.
Kinda reminds me of Funkadelic's "The doo-doo chase" lyrics
The world is a toll-free toilet
Our mouths neurological assholes
And psychologically speaking
We're in a state of mental diarrhea
Talking shit a mile a minute
Or in a state of constipated notions
Can't think of nothin' but shit
And in this world of
Stinky futures, shitty memories and
Constipated 19 now-nows
Emerges from the hiney of your head
The doo doo chasers,
The Promentalshitbackwashpsychosisenemasquad
The prune juice of the mind
{...and so on)
How oddly apropos.
All this proves is that she is not squeamish about a little turkey blood. It's not as if she ever claimed to be a vegetarian. If anything we should admire the candor and transparency that has been so lacking in the Bush/Cheney administration.
There is not one admirable thing about this woman.
I guess it isn't very vegetarian of her to hunt via helicopter, which is equivalent to shooting fish in a barrel. Cheney likes his pheasant with clipped wings so they can't escape.
This seems to be a common theme of these sadistic types, of trapping their victims.
Unsportsman like...when I go deer hunting, I actually HUNT the animal...I don't sit in a fucking tree stand and wait for one to come to the bait...that's lame.
That macabre exhibition was unnecessary....period. And another thing genius, many people hate seeing animals being hurt.
... goes to cwilton.
Congrats.
Jesus jumping dog-shit, you are a moron.
Listening to this woman butchering the English language more effectively than that guy butchering turkeys behind her, makes my skin crawl. How can anybody envision this person at the head of our nation is beyond me. That this nation put aside its racism and voted for Obama gives me hope that Sarah Palin will never live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
She's a walking psych book.
Alright, no one make any quick moves and quietly back away from the crazy person.
She goes for the jugular if you look her in the eyes!!!!
That's the definitive, hpyer-ironic moment that neatly distills everything that's wrong with the conservative "movement" today. For eight years they've crowed, "Everything is dandy, yuh-PERS!", without even feigning enough decency to provide a curtain to hide the horrible truths that they willfully deny.
Well said!
(ex-WINZ, Miami) in as a guest host this week for Rachel Maddow and Ron Reagan. Hope she gets her own permanent time slot. She's one of the good ones...
Aging myself here but this reminds me of the classic WKRP episode where they throw the turkeys out of the helicopter, pure comedy classic.
Great show!!
One Of The Funniest Things Ever!! I still laugh my ass off when I see it.
I remember that episode also. "Oh the humanity!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iafzqOCaxA4
One of my favorite bits from this Palin footage is where she talks about how the turkey was almost the symbol of the US and then asks incredulously "did you know that" to the guy next to her, who shakes his head yes in a "everyone knows that" manner.
Les Nessman!
Ace reporter!
'I really thought they could fly...'
LMAO! WKRP was one of the funniest half-hour sitcoms EVER.
:D
.
would make a great cuckoo clock.
Every hour, the little Sarah pops out of the clock and squeaks a series of "You Betchas".
Or maybe not.
There would be a great temptation to throw large heavy objects at it.
Can you just see Palin doing a press confrence on torture in Gitmo?
With her leather suit on and whip in hand.
Helga she wolf of the SS look, it fits here.
Palin was asked before the interview if she wanted the live view of the slaughterhouse as the backdrop and said it was no problem, which ought to remind us that she is a cruel and insensitive person. Personally, I don't find narcisstic sociopaths like her or her disgusting actions here amusing in any way, that she seems to lack even basic compassion or empathy for other living creatures makes her a vile and dangerous person in my book.
Amen!!
That's why she fits so well into the Bush's Repug Party...
Sociopaths one and All !!
I watches the unedited video. This is not about squeamishness or animal cruelty. It is one of the most surreal videos I have ever seen in that it is actually happening and is unscripted. I felt as if I was watching a Christopher Guest movie (e.g. Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, etc.) She is completely oblivious to the fellow behind her, and then she makes the comments that 1) they wanted to bring a little "levity" to it while the bird is twitching in the tube and 2) she is sure people will criticize her for doing this. She is so removed from reality that anyone watching this is just mesmerized by her vacuousness.
It's been said previously, but Jesus Christ we dodged a bullet with this ignoramus.
The most disturbing thing is hearing her dscribe this as "fun !"
Yes what fun !!!!
... a sense of humor. If you actually listen, when Miss Sarah is blabbling about what she's a-doin' for the good folks of Alaska, and how she' a-workin' real hard on the budget now that the price of oil is sliding,
.......the reporter asks, "...given the falling oil prices, do you see putting any state programs being put on the Chopping Block?"
This while the guy in the background is killing the turkey - Sarah is oblivious...
The guy in the background, isn't that 'Carl' from 'Slingblade'?..his smile is PRICELESS!...LOL.
I don't think I could tell you one thing she said while that was going on in the background.
Makes you kind of wished they had been killing turkeys during all of her speeches.
Unless you're Sarah Palin.
People who love turkey and the law shouldn't see how either are made. I am truly at a loss to deliver a bon mot for this.
If John would let me I would post all the recipes....
And no silly Tofurkey either!!!
I used to be a vegan...and I still eat veggie sometimes...but this thanksgivin' we're having roast venison, and fresh local shrimp...we kinda got tired of the traditional fare years ago...
I have to endure to different kinds of turkey (one traditionally cooked and the other deep fried)... two kinds of gravy... and more food than one could possibly eat in one sitting.
I would love to have a non-traditional meal... the last time I suggested it, I was shouted out of the room.
Where do you buy a thanksgiving moose?
looked like he was having a blast making Palin look bad.
she did that herself.
Next week she's going to the mink farm (wearing one of her new "fancy" coats) followed by a visit to a puppy mill!
...have another ceremony in about a month involving a fake-red-nosed reindeer (or perhaps a caribou if they can't find a Laplander/Finn with a herd of reindeer) and Caribou Barbie with her skinning knife...
If she's just getting warmed up with these ritualistic sacrificial video interviews, just think what she can do next April for Easter! Hopefully it only involves bunnies. But maybe she wants lamb for Easter dinner.
Imagine the shock to impressionable young Alaskan children!
kind of has that creepy texas chainsaw massacre feeling to it. ask that guy back their what he reads.......weird
Quite a difference when you don't have all those professional handlers managing your every word, action and locale.
On her own...the stupid just shines through.
The weird thing is the guy doing the turkey killing almost appears to know how bad this is going to look.
If you watch him, he pauses, slows down, watches and almost seems to say "should I just stop for a moment?".
but then he goes right back to it with renewed vigor!
I don't know, I think the guy was just trying to give her a break, a chance to re-think the camera angle. But when she yammers on, he says to himself, "fuck it, I cut her all the slack she's gonna get, If she's too dumb to move, I got work to do" and goes at it again.
Priceless!
????
Every single woman on Earth who thought she was, "Great!!!"?
Glad she wasn't pardoning a moose...
Makes you wonder what would happen if she were in charge of pardoning criminals.
I found the video surreal, I guess. And a bit funny, in an ironic sort of way.
But I'm not sure how you imagine this reflects on Palin or her (in)competence. The backdrop was a natural activity on a turkey farm, I'd guess. Any politician in that video, really, would make it strange and funny.
It does not testify as a judgment of Palin's judgment (haha) in any way, shape or form. Even though you might like it to.
At least, that's how I see it.
She was given the option of having the throat-slitting going on behind her. A savvy, half-smart public servant would have taken a sip on her latte, looked around and thought, not such a good idea...
So much for "judgement".
Her judgement seems to be on par with bush.
The backdrop is strange, unusual, and perhaps gross. Just because it is not commonly on TV doesn't mean it's inherently wrong. When republicans have perfectly staged events, with shining backdrops, you criticise them for using the spotlight for their advantage. And yet, when the backdrop isn't staged, when it's a scene from the real world, you criticise that as well.
I would definitely NOT hire you as a public relations person.
prove it or chill. it's all good for cheap chuckle.
This woman couldn't see the gore-spattered chutes ten feet behind her while they were setting up the shot and figure that it just maybe undercut the folksy charm of her magnanimous pardon? Yeah, it might be "real world" but the very fact that she apparently thought this was a good idea shows a total lack of political accumen or even old fashioned common sense.
Not sure...does Sarah have a sister or female cousins?
How about Michelle Bachmann?
...Nikola?
of course not...we have politicians standing in front of slaughter houses being filmed as the animals are being slaughtered every day.
Just because it's unusual doesn't mean it's damning of her. I may have a different view since I'm not in the US. Americans are generally more sheltered during their TV time. No gross stuff appears, the real world doesn't penetrate unless it's fluffy pink.
That isn't the issue. It's the complete lack of self-awareness.
Oh, and the hypocrisy.
"Friend of animals great and small" my shiny metal ass.
With a friend like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQobIUE1zTU&fe...
I never knew that Governors pardon turkeys, I thought that was the lofty position of our president.
Always has been.
But I guess when you're a has-been attention-whore, anything goes.
filming public service announcements on auto safety while standing in front of a flaming wreck?
Maybe she can do skiing advertisements speaking on camera while an avalanche consumes a skier.
No...I got it...she can do Alaska tourism spots from the deck of a Japanese whaling ship stripping the blubber off of a whale.
She's proud of her viciousness. It also excites her "pro life" conservative base watching defenseless animals get killed and slaughtered with Palin front and center. I'm surprise she wasn't having a wolve's forearm sawed off over her left shoulder.
and self-confident and just showing us all how she loves the blood sport! She's a true conservative and proud of it. Limbaugh loves this, no doubt! Scary people!
lol..a very good point!
the least sanitary food processing facility I have ever seen. Yech!
Them germs is good fer ya!
Makes yer 'munity stronger!
I'm sorry but at about 4 minutes I just couldn't stand her voice anymore. The mindless run-on sentences using a zillion words to say absolutely nothing, it hurts my soul. The continuing fantasy based right wing talking points. It stopped being funny to me.
You outlasted me. I felt my migraine returning.
"Soul Reaver" - such a fitting description for her.
Sarah missed the English class where they taught the use of a period?
Every time Palin opens her mouth, out spews a torrent of bullshit. There is never any real attempt to use language as a means of articulating some connection between ideas and reality. Rather, she simply vomits forth a half dozen or so broad, tired cliches -- each time, scrambled up and reassembled in some slightly different form.
She advocates "getting government out of the way so that people can do their work" . . . as if there is the vast sea of millions of people out there who are somehow frustrated in their efforts to get up everyday and punch in, because "the guberment" is fighting tooth and nail to block their doors and keep them out of the workplace.
She is either completely blind or deliberately ignorant to the fact that the bullshit "free market" ideology to which she subscribes is presently tearing this country apart, is driving down wages, fomenting unemployment, fostering environmental devastation, spurring social dislocation, and forcing people to resort to desparate means in order to survive. Indeed, it is the very "no-government-regulation" baloney that allowed the mortgage industry to cash-in on subprime loans while passing along the risks to the next buyer in the state-capitalist food-chain. It's as if the population were suddenly hit with the most tenacious epidemic since the Black Plague (pick one of them), and Palin were calling for a reduction in doctors and public health regulation.
This is clearly a person who does not read, does not think, and ultimately does not really care whether the hopelessly vague concepts she poorly expresses have any relation to reality or any effect on people's lives.
Diarrhea of the mouth....seems to be a condition thats's running roughshod through the GOP...let's hope it runs its full course.
and she does it so well.
logorrhea! Bwaaaahahahahaaaaa!
I'm gonna use that on my brother next time he has few and goes off on a rant.
Thanks! JudyLou!
word
She is an empty vessel.
Completely unaware of the larger picture.
Hard to believe, but she's actually scarier than Bush.
Did Piper cub write that speech for her? Oh, Wikipedia, is there anything you don't know?
So, can we add Joe the Throat Cutter to the list of average Joes that always seem have the government in their way?
I can hardly wait to hear his insights into foreign policy.
OMG, she is so poised or 2012.
Notice how she just blew right over the part about how she was a friend to all animals great and small. No sincerity whatsoever. She knows she's a cold blooded killer of God's creatures and she's proud of it http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/p/sarahp....
This woman is shady, ignorant, vicious, nasty, crooked, vindictive a liar and a religious nut. One has to look hard to find just one redeeming quality.
The only video I want to see of Palin {Deleted, Do Not Advocate Violence here. Not even in jest. SiteMonitor}
...this is what we do up here in alaska building teams and team builders for this great nation and the great america that is this great nation of team builders building teams for families and other team building members here coming up with solutions for the team of team builders for this great america always finding solutions is what we do...
Awe shucks gosh darn it you betcha (wink wink)!
There's no question that Palin's an idiot, but I have to hand it to her here. There's NO sugar-coating what goes into those neat little plastic packages that we buy at the supermarket. If we all had a better idea of what happens before we eat that piece of meat, then maybe we would be more mindful before stuffing a 1/2 lb burger down our gullet. It's the cold, hard facts.
What I do find irritating is Palin's glib disconnect with the whole event. It just underlines her shallowness and stupidiy, so I think the video it right on.
"It just underlines her shallowness and stupidiy,"
not to mention her lack of judgement. To think, though it was an electoral landslide for Obama/Biden we were just 7% points away in the popular vote from having this as our vice president. Makes you stop and think that there really are lot of stupid people out there who almost made this clueless, tackless, corrupt, know nothing loon Vice President of the United States. You think Chimp embarrassed us my gawd.
You're right DD. Well said.
I think Palin can be justified in claiming a "gotcha" moment here. Surely someone in the media crowd knew it would make horrific television? Of course they did, and that's why they did it.
While the hypocrisy of claiming to be a friend to all creatures is a given with her, I have to give her credit for not being disconnected from the reality of meat. Don't go thinking things are different at any other turkey farm.
I would hope that all those wringing their hands over the poor turkeys are having tofu next Thursday.
Disclosure:
I am not a full vegetarian yet, but I'm working on it. Call me a recovering omnivore.
Now I know there's some geniuses around here that will instantly make me out to be an apologist for the administration (hi Ron) for questioning the outrage here but I can't resist.
How do you think meat ends up on the super market shelves? They begin as actual animals and they are slaughtered. You know that leather purse you carry around? It was once a cute cow, but then it was hung upside down and had it's throat cut open. Remember, even if you are an animal lover, there are countless products in our homes that come from animals. Even that football you love to toss around with the old boys was once a pig like babe.
Slaughtering animals is messy business but it's a reality we live in. If you ever lived in a rural environment, this type of site is actually pretty commonplace. If you figure in who the target audience of that piece was (most likely some bush folk in Alaska), the entire thing was not abnormal to her or the people watching it.
What I found REALLY creepy was how the guy kept looking at the camera. "Look at me, I'm killing the turkey !!! Look at me....look at me please..."
Kudos to DD, I just saw your post and I agree 100%.
... and I don't carry around leather purses. I am an animal advocate/activist/defender of the first order.
Raising animals for meat is just one reason the planet is in big trouble. It's a wasteful, filthy, cruel industry, as this video (and many others) attest.
But I'm not going to get into a veggie/carnivore debate here. The whole point is that Sarah Palin is a sociopath and a malignant narcissist. She's devoid of kindness and empathy. Anybody who kneels with her daughter over a bloody moose carcass in the snow is a sick individual.
I'm still mystified why those turkeys needed to be "sacrificed" to help enhance this severely ignorant woman while she conducted her interview.
This lady with the nice smile is pure evil.
Well that's just fabulous Dave. I just don't think that everyone who was horrified by the images they saw have made the same life decisions you have. Given your position, you have legitimate reasons to find the video offensive.
For the people that stuff themselves with thanksgiving turkey, and wore leather pants in the 80s, this is a product of your demand:)
"Look at me. I'm helping to destroy this stupid politician's career, even more."
bahahaha. It's true though.
This was very low-budget as far as production goes. I remember being on TV when I was in high school and the first thing they explained to me was that I should avoid looking at the camera while answering questions from the reporter.
This guy could not stop staring at the camera while he killed turkey after turkey...
He makes me think of that bubbles character from the trailer park boys!
You can add me to DD and RD's posts. Modern farms electrocute them for instant death. Of course it's not plesent to look at,but that's real life. Sarah is stupid using this as a back drop. To add a little humor to this, my cat watched this and must have thought: "KITTY FOOD!"....lol
offensive...most here realize that if you eat meat, chances are that it comes from a place like this....
hehehe, yeah that guy was diggin the spotlight wasn't he?
Does Sarah have a contract with NBC? She's missing out on some comedy revenue$.
She's a vile, disgusting excuse for a human being.
And when I look at her I wonder how she managed to get through school without being correctly diagnosed for her obvious mental disability.
Sadly, she isn't mentally disabled. She's a twenty eight percenter. Before calling her challenged, try to figure out why 28% of America still supports Bush????
Aren't this woman's 15 minutes of fame up yet?
On and even more repulsive note, Todd Palin has been named as one of People Magazine's "up and coming sexiest men alive".
I threw up a little in my mouth when I saw that at. Not a People reader but that is all the waiting room had. Amazing that it takes only 5-10 minutes to read an entire magazine and the "articles" no longer than 1/4 of a page. It explains a lot. Like a picture book for adults.
Some people get turned on by white hoods and successionist views.
White hoods and white trash with an IQ of 60.
that her 15 minutes won't be up until after Thanksgiving. Then she'll recede into the background except for the occasional discussion of repug party "leaders".
Yes, Palin is a political ninny, but I give her props for her candor regarding where her meat comes from. I'm tired of Americans who refuse to act like adults by not wanting to deal with the processes that animals go through to get to our tables.
And no, vegetarianism is not the answer. There are nutrients in meats that CANNOT be had from plant food.
I wont get into the veggy / meat debate (especially because I'm cutting down on meat) but I will agree that there's massive naivety about where meat comes from. Also, don't forget some of those fancy glues you buy at the crafting hobby shop still come from boiled horse hooves.
I'm not going to even get into where soylent green comes from...
Vegatarian or not, that exhibit was totally pointless and disgusting, meant by design to make that wicked woman appear to be exactly what you bought into!
Eating meat has nothing to do with what we saw....an ignorant, attention addicted, manipulating fraud trying to maintain the support of her imbecilic constituency.
You win the prize L&L!!!
For adeptly pointing out all that most here find offensive about that clip.
Well said!
People get very emotional about the simplest things. Palin is bad, she would have been a bad VP, we get it. It's safe to say we're all Obama voters here.
But the imagery portrayed in that spot is exactly what you should be thinking when you sink your teeth into a nice piece of meat. Why? Because it's the truth.
I don't think it was very well thought out, but only because we're watching the guy kill the turkey and completely ignoring Palin. If there's one thing Palin wants, it's the attention.
And I can't argue with your logic, I believe the same thing...
but again...it's not the turkeys being slaughtered that's offensive, (to me anyway) it's Sarahs attitude towards the whole thing that creeps me out.
...But that's personal and to me, irrelevant. (BTW, I don't eat meat because it makes me sick. I'm not a crusader, or judge) I repeat...my issue is the continual exhibitionism(at any cost) of this phony bitch.
OK, so that's kindof what I'm getting at. I find people hate her so much that the sight of her doing ANYTHING is offensive. So my little point here is that the turkey thing happens all the time. It's Palin that should be appalling. So I guess we agree?
When I look at this, I think it's a PR gaffe on their part. I don't consider this deliberate exhibitionism. If it were deliberate, the guy would not have been looking at the camera like a bozo the whole time. Just my opinion.
But I have learned not to trust or underestimate anything Palin does....and yes, everything Sarah does I see it from a negative perspective(that's all she's given me).
In regards to the scene stealing "bozo" killing the turkeys in the backdrop...he was for real and couldn't help himself(do you think the local college professor would do that for a living?) Apparently good help is hard to find up there in frozen Alabama.
Careful, they're not all bad up there. Remember, they actually unseated Stevens:)
... to have a healthful diet.
End of discussion.
Amen. Been vegan and healthy for 12 years. I don't take any supplements either. Just like eating meat, you need a balanced diet with a bit of variety.
that imbicile had a shot to become Vice President of the USA... or (shudder) The President -and a sizable number of Americans thought it was a GREAT idea.
Go Away Palin, just go away.
McCain created a monster. Good luck getting that b*tch back in the bottle.
