Stephen voices his support for the corporate sponsored tea parties and Glenn Beck's choice of where to appear: The Alamo.

Colbert: Anyway for what it's worth I would like to throw my support to the grass roots efforts by Fox News corporation. I certainly hope that this occupation of the Alamo goes just as well as the last one.

Apparently Beck doesn't have much use for those things called history books.

I think Beck just wanted to be as close as possible to Ted Nugent and Ted wouldn't come to Glenn. Maybe the Alamo was the only thing Glenn could "remember". As to history, hey beck doesn't bother with that stuff. Hell, he doesn't bother with the reality of the now either.

No one can deliver a line he way Colbert can. When he's on his game he's the best.

than Mexicans.

Beck at the Alamo because that where the tea party started.

Someone told Beck that his bicycle was in the basement of the Alamo, that's why.

ROFL! Stephen's writers are amazing -- and Jon Stewart's writers who are the same people. }:-} They manage to apply their Democrat wit, intelligence, and humor to these odd wingnut lunatic's idiot stunts, and they do it with such grace. Love it!

Remember when the fascist piles of treasonous shits tried to come up with their own version of Stewart's "news" series? Some idiot Christian Creationist title like "the 24 hour news hour" or something equally Republinazi.

FAIL! LOL. And they failed because they're Republicans and share an IQ right around George W. Bush's 70.

One of the reasons they failed is because the dems don't give them the good material that the repubs give shows like Jon's and Colbert's.

and repugs just can't do teh humor intentionally.

They spend all their time walking around with sticks up their asses. Makes one kinda rigid, and unimaginative. Their attempts at humour and creativity are droll.

And our Chicago based tea baggers told RNC Chairman Micheal Steele to fuck off...see, we have the brightest Conservative anti-American assholes in the Nation.

Yes, Michael Steele was blackballed.

sick bastage!

:) :) :)

tee hee.

tee hee party.

snorted my beer on that one. thanks.

No charges against CIA officials for waterboarding

By JENNIFER LOVEN and DEVLIN BARRETT – 16 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is telling CIA officials who used waterboarding and other harsh interrogation tactics on terror suspects that they won't be prosecuted by the Justice Department. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/A...

fuck...that sucks balls.

That phrase you used is so "yesterday" ;)

"...The methods include keeping detainees naked for long periods, keeping them in a painful standing position for long periods, and depriving them of solid food. Other tactics included using a plastic neck collar to slam detainees into walls, keeping the detainee's cell cold for long periods, and beating and kicking the detainee. Sleep-deprivation, prolonged shackling, and threats to a detainee's family were also used..."

sounds legal to me ... good thing there's a Constitutional expert in the WH ....

Rather than grant immunity (politically unpalatable right now) they can "say they won't be prosecuted" in order to compile testimony and evidence in order to identify the roots of this "policy".

I'd let the hands go to get at the brains as well. I'm HOPING that's what's really going on here.

Me, too.

Otherwise we're living in a country that loudly and proudly proclaims, "the laws don't apply, if you're rich enough, or were just following orders of the rich."

Maybe that's the new American Dream. Commit any atrocity you want, as long as there's a sliver of profit in it.

The alternative makes me mad.

...

or else in future referring to "War Criminals" wont
automatically evoke Germany ...

The standard approach to bringing down the big guys is to start with the underlings and get them to roll over on their bosses.
Forget it.
Not gonna happen folks.

dammit!

Otherwise...

Otherwise??? There is no Otherwise. Ya are Blanche, ya are.

Or they can hope it will all just "blow over". Given the track record of the public's attention span...

It's OK to keep faith, but I'm not sure I have faith to begin with.

Didn't we already know that. What I did learn today is that Spain is dropping the charges against the bush lawyers. I didn't hear why.

Seriously though...wtf?

only against the lawyers?

Hmmm.

CC

Yes. I saw that in my Yahoo.

Sucks the big one.

tyree-- where are you?

Hypocrisy on display for all to see. I hope the news of these braindeads and their teabagging parties (eww) gets all over the world.

Did I hear that right, 4 eyes was talking with his people and they said 5000 people there and then this asshole said 55,000 people on the air. WTF.

Where were all of the police in their riot gear for this?

So, without subjecting myself to endless tea-bagger videos, Stephen gave it all to me in under 2 minutes. Thanks Stephen.

The Alamo surrounded by Nazis!

Why did they leave Crawford?
