Cramer whines about criticism from Stewart: He has a stock show so he can't be honest

CNBC's Jim Cramer got defensive when NBC's Meredith Vieira asked him about criticism by late-nite comic Jon Stewart. "Did I make a mistake? Okay, first of all, any time you recommend a stock and it goes down, you've made a mistake," confessed Cramer.
The CNBC host tried to defend himself. "I did come on [The Today Show] and tell everyone to sell, and when Stewart makes that call, I'm all over him, but he won't do that, because he's a comedian," he said.

I love the fact that NBC is making sure that Cramer gets his soap box to cry about the truthiness Jon Stewart hit him over the head with. Poor CNBC and poor Cramer. Jon Stewart is just a comedian and what does he know? Yes, during the whole market collapse, how many times did Cramer say to sell stocks? He says that he did something an investor is never supposed to do:
Cramer: I came on this show and did something you're never supposed to do if you have a stock show. I said people should sell everything.
Cramer can you see how wrong that is? Why can't a stock show tell the public the truth? I guess because he'd have a tough time filling time on the air. If you can't tell people the truth because you have a "stock show" then why should anyone believe you at all?
And I watched these shows when the news broke about the sub-prime mortgage crisis last year I'd say 80% of them defended the system and dismissed calls of caution from any pundits that said the market was facing a real crisis. They were cranks or just plain scared of their own shadows.

Pump a stock, alert your buddies to short it (and short it yourself), then trash it and make a killing. He's on record numerous times admitting this is his SOP.
That's called a crime. What baffles me is why this sociopath isn't behind bars yet. And despite all I've seen and read about him I'm still baffled that he can say that he can't say sell everything because it's a stock show. It begs the question, which is more dangerous, deceiving others or deceiving yourself?
That a comedy show of brilliant writers is far more accurate and sticks closer to the facts than these experts, paid solely for their advice.
"They don't call out Stewart, because he's a comedian". Last night's Daily Show had Stewart apologize for a mistake, far more than I've seen Cramer, or any of these assholes do. If Stewart makes a bad prediction, a joke goes over bad. This shmuck made one and tons of idiots lost money. It's the same thing, after all.
If it wasn't for the Daily Show, TCR, and Real Time, I wouldn't watch TV for any newsworthy events.
The Comedians are the only ones telling the truth and THANK GOD for them, especially Stewart and Colbert.

About 40 seconds into the clip, right after Cramer throws his hands up like a little bitch, Stewart starts the apology. If you look in the corner, Cramer is smiling like the girl that just lost her virginity and is trying not to get caught.
As soon as he said "You actually said that 5 days earlier" Cramers smile got bitchslapped from his face Ike Turner style.

I must have been posting at the same time. Watching the smile vanish was absolutely hilarious.
I happened to catch it this morning while I was getting dressed. I normally wouldn't be watching GMA but my wife had been in the room just b4 me and she had left the teevee on. I was just in the process of putting on my pants when I saw the stupid look on Cramer's face. I laughed so hard I almost fell on the floor.
I watched that interview and Cramer started out with a smile at the beginning of the tape BUT when he realized Stewart wasn't apologizing and further was going to screw again Cramer's face was changing landscape.

Sure Cramer is an entertainer. But he has been wrong more than right. All good stock pickers are. But they do make wrong calls and some for years. Sure the Bear call was a looser. But this market confounded the best -- including the Oracle himself. But in the long run, the good calls outnumbers the bad.
As for Cramer's September call to dump stocks, it came 4000 points ago. Next to Nuriel Roubini, the guy made the best call of the whole lot of 'em.
