Last night Maher pulled a clip from 1998 of Christine O'Donnell giving her opinion of Darwin's Theory of Evolution. Anne Druyan, author and television producer of such milestones as Cosmos (with her late husband Carl Sagan) was appalled, of course.
O’DONNELL: You know what, evolution is a myth. And even Darwin himself –
MAHER: Evolution is a myth?!? Have you ever looked at a monkey!
O’DONNELL: Well then, why they — why aren’t monkeys still evolving into humans?
O'Donnell appeared on Maher's old show, Politically Incorrect, 22 times so we can expect more of what today is mainstream conservative ignorance.
