I don't want to get rude, cuz you seem nice...but you bashed Texas, where a lot of posters here are from, and apologized to only YSB...I'm just pointing out that I, and others are from Texas, and like it or not...there are some nice sane people here, just like every other state. And I get sick of the occasional broad brush used to paint regional areas.

i must say, i'm pleasantly surprised this has been a story now for a couple of days. i expected bauer's comments to go largely ignored.
They're so much crazy come out of USAInc., it's hard to keep track of, or even believe (you're a real place).

As eplained by Andre (hey, isn't that one a dem dere furrin names? Hey, it's FRENCH, ain't it?) Bauer.
This explains their outlook towards the poor, immigrants, any societal reponsibily, tax increases, abortion, and a plethora of other things.
It was one of the best summarizaions of a philosphy I've ever heard. Let every Democrat memorize this and pass it on to others

On the bright side, a lot of those poor people are white and we already know Obama will be building concentration camps for white people so that will alleviate some of the problem for S.C. and all the other states with white people who increase rich people's taxes a couple bucks.
And once again I find myself here moaning about SC politics.
The one good thing about what Andre Bauer said is that finally my friends outside of SC understand why Mark Sanford wasn't impeached. We all KNEW Bauer was a loose cannon because he's done stuff before, but these comments and their defense are not just "eccentric." They are the ravings of someone who has lost contact with reality.
The only classy politician in SC is Majority Whip Rep James Clyburn, who remains dignified as he puts up with this kind of crap coming out of our state. And I say that as a white woman who is nearly 70 years old.
Tomorrow night (Thurs 1/28) Bauer, who is running for governor, will debate other Republicans for the nomination and our friend Joe Scarborough is the moderator. Thank God for his ability to discern true Republican talent. LOL.
South Carolina is an embarrassment to the rest of the country.

If Bauer believes that, what that say about his lvel of education?
If you need funds to pay for essentials, you have a revenue problem
If you need funds to pay for frivolity, you have a spending problem

SOuth Carolina or Texas, what difference does it make? Aftr all, we are talking about mostly unedeucated, racially biased, low intelectual, tobacco chewing, idiots or cowboys who were responsible for electing George Bush to the office for eight years!
