CNBC'S Cramer and Burnett tie Iranian election to Employee Free Choice Act

The above video exchange was first highlighted by NewsBusters.org, who approvingly cited Burnett's observations as noting "a teachable moment," which "reflects how secret ballots could end up in an election as to whether or not unionize a company."
Oil is not going up because...
"North Korea, Syria - I mean these are places when they always have elections, there's always a couple of people who don't vote for the right guy," Cramer said. "But I think the price of oil is going to tell you exactly how everything is going to play out in Iran, which is it's much ado about nothing."
and for Newsbusters, "a teachable moment", as Media Matters points out.
However, as Jim Cramer's colleague, "Street Signs" host Erin Burnett pointed out - this is a teachable moment. It reflects how secret ballots could end up in an election as to whether or not unionize a company:
CRAMER: I mean obviously, you were able to vote against this guy, but the idea you thought there was going to be a fair count.
BURNETT: And it wasn't a secret ballot. I think that's important. They're going to know - they know everybody and how they voted.
CRAMER: Absolutely.
BURNETT: It makes a strong point for this whole union conversation we're having in this country.
CRAMER: The card check, the card check.
BURNETT: But, we'll leave that debate ...

I'd stuff her ballot box. If you know what I mean...
Death
"WTF" I don't want what these people are smoking, it must be fresh Labrador. I am flabbergasted, when an animal is that fucked up the humane thing to do is shoot it and put it out of its misery. Cramer and Burnett, I would go ahead and put him down but I would give her a chance to honk bobo and maybe that would keep her quiet for a while.
I don't think they can afford fresh Labrador since the market went belly-up. Probably just two-day-old mongrel off the curb.
it's not what they are smoking,
it's what they are eating from the
honeypot....these miscreants do not
fact check anything and constantly
are sticking their tongues in a 220 socket.....
Smoking lettuce has been vilified on the floor of Congress!!
By a REPUBLICAN!!!

The more you understand that,
republicanism is a mental illness!
Jim Cramer has absolutely no credibility left after that "No, no, no - Bear Stearns is NOT going under" rant on his show. (Three days later, B-S went under.)
our New World Corporate Oligarchy has to offer?
scarey, huh.
again by Jon Stewart?
Cramer doesn't say that crap for the benefit of the well-heeled brokers and their ilk. He throws it out like breadcrumbs for the carp-like tools, those wannabe megalomaniacs, the day-traders making pennies, sucking and gasping and flopping around in the muck of the market for the scraps and left-overs.
type "investors" . . greater fool theory
i don't watch and/or listen to these klowns on cNBC. their corporate/financial elite corporate agenda is way too obvious. they don't want the middleclass to have the opportunity to remain/enter the middleclass. i find it interesting when working people use the strategy of financial elite they cry foul.
in this case, too big too fail. the union allows for a not as easy to fail. not all unions are good but they're not all bad either. CORPorations want to rid unions before this economic globalizations moves further along. unions are a reasonable and smart strategy for some workers. it reduces risk. the wallStreet people don't want risk. when a person works on the assembly line for 20 yrs. and lose their job it's tough. their skills are limited and they know it. if they don't organize and get a better wage they are at big risk if they lose their job with no other skills. financial elites say UNIONs aren't democratic what they really mean is that unions don't represent capitalism on steriods. the hotty on cNBC is margaret brennan.....in my subjective opinion.
Run by Nationless jet setting crooks.
Me here at last on the ground,
You in mid-air,
Send in the clowns
Isn't it rich? isn't it queer?
Losing my timing this late,
In my career
He showed his colors when he got his ass handed to him and he was gravveling on the floor on the John Stewart show. I have ZERO respect for this piece of shit.
WHY he is even on the msm is totally beyond me. What a butt licking idiot.
face that Lehman Bros was safe and stable... the day before it collapsed, would at least have the decency of lay low... take an extended vacation, and STFU for a while.
Even after having his ass handed to him by Stewart, this idiot not only still has his joke of a show. I swear his airtime has DOUBLED.
What do these idiots have to do to leave us alone? I mean... such level of incompetence should have made this clown a laughing stock in any other time. Have we, as a society, reached such a level of devolution?
It isn't even funny! How dare they compare card check to Iran? But the way they speak, they don't even make any sense. Who watches these people on a regular basis?
Yeah. Whatever. It's a teaching moment. Secret ballots are bad. Oh wait. Don't we have secret ballots in our elections? Why yes. As a matter of fact we do. Cramer you're an idiot.
And, Up Next On CNBC: What the Teabagger movement and the Iranian demonstrations have in common.
Great thought, Resa. In fact expect them to claim all that green as a symbol of Iranian green tea.
Yes as long as you can get in some association between Iran and unions, you've earned your pay for the day.
Oh my, someone didn't do it my way, how outrageous. WHAAA
Who doesn't know that Cramer is a tool for multinational corporations (just like all right-wingers) - does anyone really expect anything different from this jerk?
Sometimes I feel as if I am locked in a battle with certain elements of this society, esp. conservatives and business leaders in America.
Sometimes I go... "certainly so-and-so could not get any lower in his attempts to win douche of the year award." And to my amusement, that very so-and-so does something immediately that proves me wrong, that indeed that so-and-so could go much much lower still. Sometimes, even shattering the limits of my imagination regarding how low a human being could go in their attempts to get rid of their last refuges of human decency in their wretched souls.
So here is to you, Kramer and Burnett... you big stinking pieces of sh*t you!
I pity the commentator who would have tried to make the lame EFCA argument that Cramer and Burnett made. He/She would be rightly ridiculed.
What's her role? Is she a registered nurse there to administer CPR in case he has a seizure? Or is she there to prevent him from making stupid predictions?
Put together my own little message for Cramer and Burnett. Hope people here will at least sign on to the "generic" message.
It’s time to start sticking to a subject you know more about, like finance. Bwahahahahahahaha. (Sorry, I just couldn’t help myself.)
Living proof that standardized tests are not a true test of intelligence.
"But, we'll leave that debate ..."?
Since when does apocryphal, delirious ranting constitute "debate"?
I guess we shouldn't have elections for government either. Obviously it's possible to rig an election so a better solution would be to have a dictator for life. It's clearly superior because it avoids any possibility of election fraud. Brilliant!
Erin shares the same political views as Eva Braun.
How many Arms , legs , hands and personal does our government have helping this protect and demonstrations along.
Shame our government was not concern about the crooked election in our country,,, especially the president elections in 2000 and 2004.
But we elected Obama... AND Bush/Cheney ,, their administration could not have a better person to arrogantly stop any and all investigations into "ALL" of the criminal crimes by Bush and his administration..
You can jump up and down about Obama ,, but just tell me which promise of importance to the American citizens , our jobs , our freedom and our constitution has Obama upheld..
Are we sure that a switch has not occurred in the person in the White House...
What I see happening in actions , words and policies are not the promises I heard from Obama on the campaign trail and voted for , looks to me as if someone pull a switch...
reporting what is ACTUALLY happening in Iran? Even the blogs are all lying.
http://news.sympatico.msn.cbc.ca/abc/world/co...
This isn't just people outraged by voter fraud. That is lying. This is people supporting him, and people not supporting him. Good grief, it's bad enough the damn media lies about almost everything, but why are all the blogs now doing it too?
After all, taking his advice likely cost folks all their money
If Jim Cramer thinks the situation in Iran is "much ado about nothing", I'd say we can safely expect a revolution.
They really believe they are qualified to debate the EFCA?
Cramer couldn't escape with his dignity from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. And Burnnett needs to spend less time on her knees with the corporate execs and be all she can be. Which may not be much, "be-ing".
They do need to leave serious issues out of their "good corporate mule" routines.
Pretty dum and pretty damn dum!
Cramer is SUCH a jerk. I remember the Jon Stewart interview where he was exposed for the lying piece of dog excrement he is. The rolled up sleeves phony baloney makes me want to heave solid objects at the tv, followed by vomitous chunks.
