We are all going to suffer for it . This isn't just a fad or a natural phase we are going through , this is serious stuff , the Reich wing are out to destroy this country in order to get what they want , a plutocracy and a kind of fascist state ( you have heard or read the famous Grover Norquist quote ?) . They started a war , literally a war on the middle and lower class , they have sabotaged the Supreme court with traitors / saboteurs , they have their own anti government anti Democratic /anti liberal propaganda network , one that would make Joesph Goebbels proud , have all the corporate and even foreign $ behind them , the Christian Taliban is behind them still , they have purposely all but bankrupted the country , I could go on and on . That this is just going to go away and eventually flame out , is wishful thinking , they are winning , like it or not , slowly but surely they are winning , the Supreme court "decision" granting corporations personhood was the last nail in the coffin as far as any kind of a Democracy is concerned . If they gain control of the House and or the Senate Obama and company are finished , not if , but when the Republicans gain all power and control like they had under Bush / Cheney it is all over . Unless the American people suddenly sprout live brain cells and magically in unison pull their heads out of their asses , the future looks bleak at best .

I believe it is more a Kleptocracy:

I love it when people, like this caller, tell people to learn their history, especially when it's obvious he hadn't. No doubt he's talking about Margaret Sanger whose life mission it was to help raise Blacks out of poverty by providing them with contraception. She flirted with the eugenics movement but abandoned it after finding it rife with racist ideology. No doubt the caller would have preferred Blacks to remain ignorant, pregnant, and poor.
The eugenics movement went wildly out of control, and all ideologies were involved.
They would steriize the insane and the retarded.
They set up the IQ system that often seemed racist and culturally biased.
But they were involved in setting up penitentiaries whose purpose was to reform not just punish
Juvenile detention so they wouldn't be kept with dangerous adults,

It was debated on here yesterday whether Beck is dangerous or not. This is an example of his danger. Milbank didn't address that well with Kurtz, but Milbank points out in the intro of Tears of a Clown that Beck has created a parallel universe. I read this last night after concluding my post, "Paul Waldman: what Beck says is "completely insane," that Beck's followers live in an alternative universe.
Bifurcated reality: that's the danger of Glenn Beck, and this caller is only of millions who have bought this pitch of his.

at the very end of the tape she has her head tilted forward and her eyes cast down. One can only imaging what she's thinking. Maybe, "I can't believe I have a degree in journalism, then interned at no pay for a year, only to end up sitting at this desk listening to the stupidest, most misinformed people in the world.God, I hate my job."
These followers of Mr. Beck used to post on AOL story boards a lot. AOL switched to an enforced civility, so these foiled hatters have found a new home on Mediaite.com, where the give and take is more balanced left v. right than it ever was on AOL. I highly recommend the site for those of you who like the give and take that a purely progressive site lacks.

Obviously, one can admire one aspect of a person without feeling the same about every other aspect of that person. Admiring Thomas Jefferson's views on liberty does not make one a pro-slavery advocate. It is disingenuous to try and make that link, which would only appeal to idiots and/or those looking for anything to support their preconceived notions. One can easily admire Sanger's role in the evolution of reproductive rights without believing everything she said.
As an example, I disagree with most of Clinton's right wing policies, but I admire her willingness to spread enthusiasm over Women's rights.

Pretty well, I think. She seems to not understand that her husband's private insurance covered abortion before HCR passed, and thinks that gubbmint is forcing them to do so.
Bet this guy didn't get an A in civics class (that is, when he was awake.)
