Schultz apparently received instructions to make his WHOLE SHOW about the death of Michael Jackson of Friday from Management at GE.
This is singularly interesting because it implies that, far from being even remotely autonomous, Schultz (and all the rest of the MSNBC "cast" as well) are dancing on the strings pulled by the largest military contractor on earth.
Another thing: Schultzie's on MSNBC (GE-owned), while Jabba, the Rush, is an employee of ABC/Disney (through Cap Cities).

About noon yesterday, I realized that the A/C was missing in action. 3 calls to the property mgmt team yesterday afternoon were not returned.
Yesterday was the hottest so far this year, about 108. Inside hit 98.
Last night was not the best.

If Rush is even partly correct, it shows that one of the leading candidates for the Republican nomination is woefully ill-prepared to serve.

I don't know who this guy Ed is but I stumbled across this clip in my RSS reader this morning. Poking holes in Rush's schtick? Good idea in theory. Unfortunately, most of his parrots will never see this because (obviously) it is neither fair, balanced, nor the most powerful name in news. Besides that, finding the flaws in Rush's logic is fish-in-a-barrel stuff. It is lazy punditry.
What really bothers me is this dude's adaptation of talk radio/faux news pundits' affectations. The Tom Cruise-esque unnaturally hearty laughter. The feigned outrage. The melodrama. Everyone knows that Rush, Hannity, Beck, et. al. have all the objectivity of a cheerleader squad. Their affectations, selective reporting, and... um... "creative" analysis plays to the converted. It keeps them happily marginalized. They get to keep playing the underdog angle, while reasonable people can just leave talk radio and faux news off their preset channel lists.

We think it's a joke to see a member of Congress, like Michelle Bachmann, tell people to resist the Census because the data will be used to force good Americans into detention camps. But it isn't funny. When someone gets murdered because of her, Bachmann will be the first to claim no responsibility for what her words encouraged people to do. Just like the Right claims no responsibility for the murder of Dr. Tillman, all the while hailing his murderer as a hero and a martyr.

He tries more than any other newscaster to keep from "spinning" a story. Does it alway work? maybe not. But the effort is sincere and the results are mostly informative.
