I saw her show yesterday. She gets high marks for taking these kinds of issues and giving a history of them to show that the same tactics have been used for the last 10 years or so. I don't know if anyone else delineates these incidents and issues so clearly. Her reports are well-written, well-designed. The other report about the fake letters about clean coal was excellent. She's the best. My new favorite.

I always suspected something sinister and underhanded went on from the Republican party on that election, but I never suspected this!! Why didn't this come out sooner? What's even more "telling" is that more outraged people aren't commenting on this post.

Do you realize that most Americans are being influenced and brain washed by the super rich Republicans who are hiring people to brain wash us?

Rachel gets high marks, but who watches Rachel? If you have been successfully brain washed through these techniques, you aren't watching Rachel. Someone needs to fund and organize a rebuttal to all the corporate money that is being thrown at this.

"I always suspected something sinister and underhanded went on from the Republican party on that election, but I never suspected this!! Why didn't this come out sooner? "

Actually, it did. In fact, there was a whole documentary made about it, called Unprecedented: The 2000 Election that named all the same Republican operatives shutting down the recount that Rachel did. No one cared. No one listened. And we got the eight years of Bush/Cheney that we deserved as a result.

Yes, for the most part, Rachel preaches to the choir. But the people who really need to be hearing this information are too stubborn to pay any kind of attention. It's the ERA all over again. When the fundamentalists and the right wingers and the conservatives were trying to convince people that "two or more people employed in the same place for the same responsibilities shall be paid the same wage" would lead to "your little girl will have to share bathrooms and locker rooms with boys! Your boys will be forced to take home ec!" the left wing didn't take it seriously enough, until the ERA failed. And failed. It took Obama signing the Lilly Ledbetter bill this year to get any kind of equal pay for equal work finally in writing. Just 30 years later. Maybe in another 30 years, the majority of the American public will pull its collective head out long enough to realize the "old people lining up to be put to death by their government" was just as ridiculous. The left isn't doing a good enough job getting the word out.
