President Obama Takes a Shot at John Boehner--He's a Person of Color
President Obama had a bit of fun with John Boehner during his speech at the White House Correspondents' Dinner while describing his "agenda" for the next hundred days.
In the next hundred days our bipartisan outreach will be so successful that even John Boehner will consider becoming a Democrat. After all we have a lot in common. He is a person of color--although not a color that appears in the natural world.
Ouch...lol. I guess Oompa Loompa-orange doesn't quite qualify as natural, does it?

I loved his calling out of Bloomberg! As a resident of NYC I couldn't agree more. Also, his continued mockery over his "messiah-like" reputation is appreciated.
Plus, it's so nice to see a president deliver jokes without butchering them while snickering like a demented child.
Hopefully humanity will one day learn to be humane.
Timing - it's the essence of comedy.

Obama was on time tonight. I laughed my ass off!
I woke up this morning sick as hell. I watched the rerun of the dinner last night and feeling miserable, I kept laughing out loud at the things the President said. There aren't many professional comedians who could have made me laugh out loud while feeling that bad. The dude was funny as hell. I also liked the line where in his next 100 days he said he would seriously consider losing his cool.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
I don't care who ya are.
Doesn't appear in the natural world - applies also to the ex-Darth, and many who are classified in the remaining 20% of the U.S. who will admit to being Of the Party.
That's. Fucking. Awesome. Did he make Johnny cry?
Who finds the incestuous relationship between the White House and the traditional media every bit as inappropriate under Obama as it was under Bush?
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
isn't it? Unbiased? Left leaning? Right leaning? More like all part of the "good ol' gang" with the odd different face.
Same song, different singer is all. I like Obama quite a bit but that doesn't translate into getting a pass on this unhealthy relationship. Next he'll be having them over for barbeque and lawn games a la McCain.
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
that Bush and Obama are the same, eh?
I mean, you took the press dinner... which has traditionally be a "kiss ass" event in which the press and the WH sort of burry the hatchet for one night, as a proof of the "incestuous" relationship between Obama and the press.
Although I have no teevee, it seems to me that everybody from FAUX to CNN to ABC and on and on
- they pick apart everything BHO does; a stiff bow to the Saudi king is somehow worse
than GWB's freakin tongue wrestling with the Saudi king. etc
I don't remember the media second-guessing GWB on everything.
Obama is getting much more scrutiny than the chimp ever did. They waited until inauguration day before they re-discovered critical reporting, (though some still have trouble when it comes to reporting what wingers say or do). Still, the relationship is entirely inappropriate. I said the same thing about the functions Bush and Clinton had with the press as well. I'm not going to change my opinion just because it's Obama up there.
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
although difficult to know for sure i would have to agree with you. following 9-11 the BUSH administration and the republican majority congress pretty much got carte blanche, all in the name of terrorism. NOW obama is handed a financial crisis, economic crisis, automaker crisis, unemployment, foreclosures, and war(s). obama's governing as centrist way (at least perceived) makes it more challenging for the RIGHT. after a failed presidency the (r) are doing everything they can to dilute/deflect the BUSH legacy. the right through talking heads are
trying to chip away at obama.
The new housing spending is on the rise. Same with existing home sales. The stock market has stopped falling and leveled off. Banks are slowly starting to lend more money.
Unemployment has slowed and leveled off. But we can't use that one because people may have dropped off of the list.
It appears that there has been some progress.
It's still a very precarious situation. Let there be no doubt about that.
These things take time. I find it ludicrous that some people expected this new Prez to just snap his fingers and make it all just disappear.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
Sorry, not really seeing that, except by the rightwing nuts like Beck and Limpballs. What I see the media doing, is bringing on guests that actually support him. Many of his policies are the same as Bushies, yet the media is picking it apart? Why would they do that if they didn't do it to Bush? Seems to be, as Margaret said, an incestuous relationship. Heck, Obama could hand deliver a turd live on MSNBC, and they'd praise him for it. Don't think the media is to be biased in either direction, but are.
Obama hand delivering you to MSNBC would be welcomed.
Nancy Pelosi and the Dem Party will have your cheque in the mail for you, you loyal little blue faced Dem pretending to be a Liberal!! Somersaulting through those blue hoops must be hard on the neck, but obviously the Koolaid is yummy!
at about the same time you gt yours from the RNC.
Just another wild theory of mine.
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
I know. It's easier for th RNC to hide their expenses from their off shore accounts.
If you are typical of the voting public, it explains Bush, Reagan, Clinton, etc, etc. Is it stupid, uneducated, or just not having the ability to see things as not being black and white? Meh, already know the answer with you. You are just a true blue Dem which means neither liberal or progressive. But thanks for playing, it's aweful scary when the only argument supporters have is, "oh ya, but you are a Republican...nah, nah, nah"........
Have some more blue Koolaid and hope the economy improves drastically before the next election, or you'll be crying again as the states turn red. No matter how much praise heaped on him, if the economy doesn't turn around, Obama will be tossed quicker than Jimmy Carter.
will not want to believe me but I have voted for different parties. I just don't care for your constant attacks on Obama Brownie.
So there's pretty much no use having a convo with it. It already knows you and what you'll say.
That CC is a manic depressive. He continually makes negative comments.
And yet, just a few weeks ago he said that he was leaving because of all the negativity.
Me thinks he doth protest too much.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
without making up excuses for ALL the negatives! What's positive? What I hear from Americans is constant praise of Obama, regardless what he does.
So, here it is. Economy trashed. Corporate bailouts, bank bailouts, taxcuts, no justice for torture, home foreclosures, massive job losses, tent cities, CEO raking in massive amounts of obscene cash, Bush policies such as spying on Americans continues and is supported, etc, etc,......oh but he made a fantastic joke, and his wife looks awesome feeding the homeless in $600 running shoes. Negative? Show some positive. I'm not seeing ANYTHING.
It is truly amazing though, the same people that wanted to hold Bush and the Republican's feet to the fire, don't even want to attempt to hold Obama's feet to the fire. Why is that? Why is anyone and everyone on here, that are in actuality REAL liberals and progressives, attacked, spit upon, and called RNC when they point out that this leader has no clothes. He is the magical advertising success story. Painted to be something, he never was, or will be, and still people don't. get. it. It's obvious to the rest of the world, but for some reason, it takes Americans awhile to wake up from their Cheetos induced couch coma. It is no wonder, the absolute worst president in the history of the US was re-elected.

What is your conceptual, continuity?
he's haad over 100 days! Whazza matta wit him?
And this and this one too
What is your conceptual, continuity?
It's because you're not looking.
True, there needs to be more done.
But what do you expect in slightly over 100 days.
LOL.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
After that, almost every president spends the rest of his time campaigning for re-election. His first 100 days, showed Republican lite policies, even to the point of copying Bush policies or expanding them.
I guarantee you one thing. "He needs time" isn't going to work. If the economy doesn't turn around, he'll be back in Chicago.
I am so sorry that posters on here have turned out to be a majority of nothing more than partisan hacks, that will blindly support, as long as it's the right party. I thought foolishly that some of you were seriously liberals and progressives. A majority obviously are not. And I see, the big R, and the LandL party KoolAid drinking trolls have showed up to offer their pathetic support as per usual. Proof that trolls exist just as highly in the Democratic Party.
Keep your eye on the ball and good luck. Glad to see that party brainwashing works so well.
LOL.
I didn't know you were a comedian.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
Hows that Conservative govt doing up there in Canada?
LOL.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
With you being a concern troll now, does that qualify as being a comedian?
Maybe in the same catagory with Kramer from Seinfeld.
And we all know what he turned out to be.
What is your conceptual, continuity?
Oh, I'm sorry.
Seriously Canuck, I understand and see that you cherish the mantle as "the one man who gets it" but Hannity, Beck, Malkin and Rush are way ahead of you. Lol.
What's not going to work is your incessant bashing of this new admin/country.
damn, your funny. no really. comedy should be your job.
It's your calling CC.
LOL
What is your conceptual, continuity?
Just fu
ck off, would you?...automatically gets labeled by you "a kool-aid drinker" arrogantly blessing yourself as the last word expert on all that is Obama.
Your shit is so tired.
..office seekers. Today's media are those same office seekers. Cozying up to power because they have access. It's twisted and it's been going on for over two hundred years but that doesn't make it good or healthy.
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
talking heads, are just party apologists from both parties, that return to power, within the next election or two. It's inevitable. They don't go away, they just analyze until their party comes back to power.
The entire Village is just like that. Either you're in power or you're working in the private sector, waiting until you are offered another official post. Office Seekers.
Barack Obama: Change we can only imagine
since it's SUPPOSED to be the ONE night of the year when the press and the administration put aside their adversarial relationship and have some fun. It's the other 364 days a year when a buddy-buddy relationship is inappropriate.
I guess Oompa Loompa-orange doesn't quite qualify as natural, does it?
Funny you should mention that - the original Oompa-Loompas were black. They were changed when racial tensions in the late 60's made the publishers ask Dahl to change their appearance.
There's always free cheddar in the mousetrap, baby. - Tom Waits
laughing with the president instead of cry-laughing at him
me-oww!
With so many attacks about race it is interesting when you think about it why does Boner have such a dark tan year round when he's racist. He's the only Republican who could fit in the HOOD even Michael Steele would get kicked out as a fake. One might think Boner really wants to be black and is using the tannng lotion so he wont have to worry about getting skin cancer. Boner always looks like a brother when I see him, but it's the clothes and well other stuff that makes you think is he or isn't he?
I guess they are rebranding everything, seeing how they
would be pulled from the market if they were dogfood.
It really isn't a Red America (anymore) or Blue America, they want us to
think it is orange. IMO, everything about republicans are
alien to the human race. Everytime I see They Live, the movie,
I see Republicans. Someone needs to remake that movie. They should call it , They live..They want us to die.
the new-hued republicans intrigued me too, until i figured out that they were tired of being described as the party of old, pinch-faced, thin-lipped, white men.
this just goes along with their new hip-hop image!

The studio version on Street Hassle is far superior, but this is all YouTube as got...

Great stuff - nice job Mr. President.

Watch the right wing go after him for the last comments he made about resting on the 73rd day of his next 100. They'll say he's comparing himself to God when only their beloved George Bush can do such a thing because he attends church every 73rd day.
Can you spell LOSER any bigger than when you're referring to the republican base? I know I can't.
He just went Def Comedy Jam on Boehner!
Now we know Michael Steele's C&L name
After eight years, we have a President with a GOOD sense of humor AND a brain. Although John Boehner might disagree with me...but he's John Boehner so f*** him :-)
NOBODY 2012
Only thing better than all the jokes last night is seeing all the righties whining about it on the usual kooky blogs.
..."although not a color that appears in the natural world". I call Boner a bronzed hangover but Obama pwnz the prize for that one!
Here's the full video of Obama's speech last night if you missed it:
http://www.gotchamediablog.com/2009/05/president-obama-at-white-house.html
Personally, I think his delivery timing was off (delivering the Boehner line while people were laughing) and also pulling a Red Skelton (laughing at his own jokes). But hey, you can't have everything: as long as he can save the free world, I'm OK with these flaws...
First of all, I thought he was funnier than any of Letterman's monologues lately.
Secondly, he's the president. When's the last time you heard ANY president be funny, intentionally?
He's gonna complete the next 100 days in 72 days... then on the 73rd day he will rest!
You're right! HE IS THE ANOINTED ONE!
