Lou Dobbs Emulates Glenn Beck With Attack on "Czar" Ron Bloom for Quoting Mao-tse Tung

Why doesn't Lou Dobbs just move on over to Fox and get it over with? Dobbs does his best to emulate Glenn Beck and attacks another White House "czar" for quoting Mao-tse Tung, taking Anita Dunn's words out of context just as Beck did.
DOBBS: Well, another high-ranking White House appointee extolling the virtues of Chinese leader Mao Tse-tung. When White House manufacturing czar Ron Bloom was an executive at the United Steelworkers Union, he addressed a 2008 forum on the union role in bankruptcy.

RON BLOOM, UNITED STEEL WORKERS: Generally speaking, we get the joke. We know that the free market is nonsense. We know that the whole point is to game the system, to beat the market or at least find someone who will pay you a lot of money because they're convinced that there is a free lunch. We know this is largely about power. That it's an adults' only, no limit game. We kind of agree with Mao that political power comes largely from the barrel of a gun, and we get it that if you want a friend, you should get a dog.

DOBBS: White House Communication Director Anita Dunn last June also cited Mao as one of the great political philosophers in her life. Mao was the leader of communist China from his founding to his death in 1976. His policies and purges believed to have caused the deaths of tens of millions of people, as many as 100 million.

The last time was on the 11th of October. Because that guy McCain needs a good dressing down by Beck, Commander of the Zombie Army, Dobby, the House Elf, and Rush, the Steaming Pile.
He faulted her for saying he was one of her two favorite philosophers.
Whether or not you think he was only her favorite philosopher for that one particular quote, which is ridiculous given how she said it, no one faulted her for using one of his quotes alone.
And btw, Anita Dunn stated she was using an old Lee Atwater reference of him quoting Mao for that same anecdote.
Do you have any references of Lee Atwater making a reference to that particular Mao quote, since Dunn said Beck was irony-impaired for not getting that. They have to be easily found on the internet, since it was an obvious reference she made, and she said Beck was obviouosly irony-impaired for not realizing it.
I'm sure her high school audience was well aware of the irony, too; they must've known Lee Atwater used that quote, right? That's why they laughed, these high school students. Well versed in Atwater and the Southern Strategy and Willie Horton, right.
If Dunn's trangression was so critical to the fate of the Republic, why did it not come up until a week after Dunn singled out FOX for their biased coverage.
I'll look into just who first brought out the video and why. Suspect it had a lot to do with her appearance last week, but her appearance was kind of strange to beging with, as I'm sure a lot of people didn't know a whole about her. What better way to get acquainted than to learn she's likely an avowed Maoist, right. First impressions and all.

Besides, what would Dunn's objective be? Are you buying into the insane conspiracy that Obama and his minions are going to indoctrinate our youth into Communism?

During Limbaugh's attempt at television, he was by and large relegated to the late-night shut-in slots, so Clinton-haters had to stay up until 1:30AM to get their new batch of talking points and marching orders.
Glenn Beck has a 5:00 pm slot that is devoid of anything resembling competition: sports programs that re-air an hour later, news talk programs that re-air two hours later, and syndicated sitcoms. The lazy do-nothing who wants to blame the gubbermint for their problems doesn't have to do anything more than stay home and watch TV in the middle of the day. Thus, that leaves his fan base plenty of time to collect unemployment checks, tinker with the meth lab, comment online about an upcoming Tea-per Tantrum, and then catch the hour of hate before going out to a buffet restaurant.
Rush is on midday in all markets. Which means that he's on AM radio when no one is listening (no one important to demos) and no one else is on.
All he had to do to get the few people that were listening was to be "irreverent".
If he were on in the morning or afternoon drive, he'd get killed.

It doesn't look like the advertiser boycott of Beck really did anything and I don't see posting every crazy thing they say doing much either.

The complaint against Bloom is bullshit because all he did was use a single, well-known quote from Mao Zedong.
The complaint against Dunn is legit because she called Mao one of her two "favorite political philosphers," w/o any sort of qualification and then held him up as an inspirational example to a room full of high-school students. Mao Zedong killed between 40 and 70 million of his own people during peacetime. He may well have been the single most homicidal dictator in human history. You don't call a person like that your favorite anything unless you want people to think that you're quite possibly insane and don't care much for the value of human life.
This distinction should be obvious but apparantly it's not to either conservatives or to far too many liberals.
