Lou Dobbs Compares MoveOn to Tea Party Organizers Without Mentioning Fox News

Lou Dobbs promoting the tea parties and comparing the grass roots anti-war movement on the left and MoveOn to those organizing the tea parties now. Both Dobbs and Brianna Keilar fail to mention the involvement of Fox News and corporate lobbyists who are funding the movement. As John pointed out, even Howard Kurtz on Dobbs' own network hit Fox News for their promotion of the tea parties, and it's costing them a great deal of money to do it.
Apparently Dobbs didn't think his fellow CNN anchor's reporting was worth noting in this supposed fair and balanced report of his. I'm sure if Dobbs ever wants to leave CNN, Fox News will happily bring him on board.

Lou Dobbs peddles racism and xenophobia nightly on his show and is one of the hate mongers in the media today. Dobbs is a chain smoker too, by the way. So, Dobbs does not live such a "pure life" himself. Dobbs is one of the worst "men" on TV and probably sees himself as a "Christian." Dobbs peddles his books on the Alex Jones show too.
I have been chronicling the right-wing since the Reagan adnministration, and have since resumed my studies of these people six-seven years back formally and informally in the 1990s. Dobbs fits the typical racist pattern of these right wingers.
Right wingers like to deny they are racists. They will do all necessary to prove to you and others how "they are not racists." Yet they turn around and denounce the likes of Jesse Jackson, the Rev. Loury, and "community organizers." Racists then again, always deny that they are racists. For example, Rush Limbaugh and Mike "Savage" Weiner" are transparent racists. Both have thrown typical racist hissy fits when confronted on this issue. Dobbs thinks by having black guests on his show that he can also escape or have cover for his obvious racism. A cute ploy/trick on his part, but Dobbs is a racist, nonetheless, and shame on Joe Madison and other people of color for going on his show all the time. Rarely does one hear the radical or pan-Africanist view of issues regarding the African-American or minority communities in the mainstream media. The media has no problem putting on middle-of-the-road or conservative African-Americans on these shows, however.
I would love to see Lou Dobbs go head to head with Black Agenda Report's Bruce Dixon, Glen Ford, and Margaret Kimberley, and see how fast these three people would slap him--Dobbs down to size.

I see that now that the election is over, Dobb's has entirely dropped his "Mr. Independant" schtick. Does that mean he's back to snuggling up to his friends on the right? Did he ever leave?

here in El Paso, and I almost blew a gasket when I saw a video clip.
Recently, we gained some attention when the City Council passed, unanimously, a non-binding resolution asking that the issues of drug legalization/decriminalization, especially of marijuana, be discussed in context of the violence wracking our sister city, Juarez.
The mayor vetoed the resolution.
It was this issue that brought up Lou Dobbs, a non-binding resolution.
Because one of the candidates was against the resolution with reasoning along the lines of (rough, snarky paraphrase here)
"If we want to attract businesses to El Paso, I would have vetoed the resolution because of the bad attention it would draw from people like Lou Dobbs."
Thankfully, El Paso has two call-in radio stations, with progressives/liberals getting about 30 hours of air-time weekly, so I had a chance to repeatedly vent along the lines of
"If the candidate is so worried about Lou Dobbs saying mean or bad things about El Paso, if his reaction to Lou Dobbs whining is anything other than I'll sleep better the more angry Lou Dobbs gets, then he obviously doesn't have the spine necessary to be a strong, efficient or competent Mayor."
