Ed Schultz Psycho Talk: Rep. Paul Broun
Compassionate conservative Rep. Paul Broun makes Ed Schultz's Psycho Talk segment for this number- Rep. Broun walks away from man asking for plan to lower health care costs: ‘If you have a suggestion, send it.’:
Yesterday, Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) held a town hall in Watkinsville, GA, where he fielded questions about health care legislation before Congress. At the conclusion of the town hall, Ryan Lewis, an Athens, GA, resident, approached the congressman and politely explained to him about how his health insurance company refuses to pay for his treatment. In response, Broun told Lewis, “We need to make insurance affordable.” Lewis then asked, “How do we do that?” Rather than offering a GOP solution to skyrocketing health care costs, Broun simply told him, “If you have a suggestion, send it to me” and quickly walked away.

Get off the effin dole for starters!
The republicans are in a heated contest to make this segment of Ed's show every night.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
pay his salary? What a waste of money.
This makes the point perfectly. They have no ideas and aren't searching for any, they just want the president and everything he does to fail. That's their only goal.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
Their only goal is to is to do nothing until another Republican is elected president--then they can go back to doing nothing and collecting their "hooker treats" from their lobbyist masters.
I suggest you go f*ck yourself.
I bet FOXNews is all over this Paul Broun guy for daring to respond to a constituent's question in such a flippant manner!
Hell, they'll make Broun a freakin' hero before the weekend is over. He'll be the belle of the tea baggin' ball.
Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.
well our solution is "NO" and we wnt to "NO" and we will accomplish"NO".
But John F A beat me to it.

Oh, I'm sure a great many of us have a suggestion for Rep. Paul Broun.
He really has a wide range to choose from with the Rethugs in psycho talk. Too bad the democratic congressmen can't get with the program and leave these liars and thieves behind.
RESIGN, You sold-out, irresponsible, gutless fuckstickkk!!!
And give your seat to somebody who gives a shit about the People of this district, this state and this nation.
Another suggestion: Eat shit an' die!
The bastards....they're everywhere.
This is the idiot who has been calling for the year of the bible next year.
KO outed this guy last week as one who has been calling Obama a communist and a nazi. He's spread rumors that Obama wants to take away everyone's guns and that Obama wants to turn this country into a totalitarian state.
He's nothing but a lying, gun-toting, religious nut case who has no business in the U.S. congress.
I guess Christians skipped that part of the Bible...must be somewhere in the back..
...from the party that believes; 'Hey, too bad, who says life is fair?'
I wonder if he's any relation to teabagger Mark Williams, featured in an earlier C&L post today?

...it's referred to as the "public option." It's probably lying around in that big stack of other unread stuff piling up in your office.

But I'll limit them to three…
1. This doesn't strike me as Psycho Talk. It's just really rude. (It's more a Worst Person in the World Bronze Medal.)
2. Why didn't he have that handy "plan" that many of the Republicans were waving as props during the President's speech before Congress? Surely, there must be SOMETHING in there that covers this situation.
3. For an M.D. and a congressional representative, he seems vacuously unaware of the issues. Compare this with that video of Senator Franken (who, the media is quick to remind us, is a "former comedian" and not an "M.D.") on this site and elsewhere talking with his constituents at the Minnesota State Fair. He knew the issues, he had enough data in his head to compare and contrast different systems in different states, and he stayed right there, looked everyone in the eye and engaged his questioners (who were, from appearances, probably more conservative than the senator) in an actual dialogue. Obviously I wasn't there at this event with Broun and there may be some context I'm unaware of, but on the face of things, it is a pretty revealing difference.
There is no such thing as a compassionate conservative.
Bush lied. Shocking!
I was at Paul Broun's town hall meeting...believe me, none of his other answers when he was actually at the podium were any better. He was like the politician in "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" who kept on dancing the sidestep. Broun couldn't answer a single question honestly, from the left OR the right. He's a disgrace. I live in Athens, GA, a progressive town that was gerrymandered by the Republicans about 10 years ago into a pretzel like district that is now solidly red, and we hate it. Broun didn't even have the guts to hold his town hall meeting in Athens, where his office is...he held it in a red town nearby. He's a real piece of work.

Wow....
The absolute disinterest Rep. Paul Broun showed towards this man who couldn't afford insurance is shocking...He might as well have told the man 'I really don't give a shit, so fuck off!'. That was certainly the vibe Broun was giving off...
