D.L. Hughley: A Man Can Take Us To War and Lie and We Won't Do a Damn Thing About That

From D.L. Hughley Breaks the News, Hughley and Cliff Kelley discussing the Blago impeachment. Whether anyone agrees with Hughley's defense of Blago here or not, he's spot on with this statement:
Hughley: Now I listened to those tapes and I'm not going to hide my affinity for this guy. I never met him before then but to me we have become such a trivial place that we will impeach a man for having sex, or lying about having sex with a woman. In California we will impeach a guy because he raises taxes on license plates because energy gets out of control. We'll impeach a guy for saying some things on tape. But a man can take us to war and lie and we won't do a damn thing about that. That makes me so mad.

Morality is lost to the average American.

So DL had a fun interview with Blago and now they're BFF and Blago is, like, totally innocent? Please.
What are the charges again? What is the evidence again?
Obama picked another Rethuglican, and one who apparently thought the Dept. of Commerice should be abolished, to head the Dept. of Commerce, and Gregg apparently required of more explicit demands than even Blago is accused of. I wonder if Gregg will face prosecution?
But here's the deal:
If the Democratic Illinois Legislature had NOT impeached Blago, it would have seriously affected their ability to win re-election.
For House Republicans, any attempt to prosecute Bush will seriously affect their ability to win re-election.
See the pattern? What a legislature will or will not do is always, always, largely about protecting incumbency.
Bluegal: Could not disagree more. Dems DID impeach, repubs WON'T, both in order to win re-election(s)?
Here's the deal: There is something very dark, much deeper than getting votes. Bush was at, what, something like 20% in the polls. He's gone now, and NO ONE, Dem or repug, is gettin' on it.
ANY repub who would go after Bush would gain the vote of repubs and dems, IMO. I know I'd vote for a repub if they were key in getting bushco sent to jail.....and I've never voted for a repub in my life.
The FBI, CIA, and DOD have enough evidence to put the entire admin. away for life, yet not a peep, at least not yet.
Obama needs to up the ante and get these higher-ups to start singing. We're all waiting..........chirp.......chirp.
Blago is a hood. Bush is a Ted Bundy.
Blago is just a dumbshit. bush has gotten away with murder. the way I see it. he lied the us into a war, sent American GI's to war on more lies. this is murder. and bush is not Ted, ted was very smart.a pice of shit, but a very smart pice of shit. bush is just a cold turd on a paper plate.
