Birther Fail: Judge ready to slap Orly Taitz with $10,000 fine
By Heather Sunday Sep 20, 2009 10:00am
Poor old crazy birther Orly Taitz just can't get any respect. Dylan Ratigan treats her with the disdain she deserves in this segment where she's asked to react to the ruling against her. And it looks like the judge has had a belly-full of her as well.
Judge ready to slap Orly Taitz with $10,000 fine:
Orly Taitz, one of the leaders of the Birther movement, may have finally crossed one too many lines. The courts will, after all, overlook the occasional frivolous lawsuit, even when filed by an attorney who can't get basic procedural issues right -- just the cost of doing business. But even a federal judge has a breaking point, and Clay Land appears to have reached his.
Earlier this week, Land dismissed a suit that Taitz had brought on behalf of Army Capt. Connie Rhodes, a surgeon who claimed that she couldn't follow her orders to deploy to Iraq because she's not sure President Obama is eligible, under the Constitution, to hold his current position. At the time, Land warned Taitz that if she filed any more "similarly frivolous ... actions in this Court" she'd face sanctions.
Taitz, of course, didn't seem to listen. Instead, she filed an angry motion asking Land to reconsider his decision and stay Rhodes' deployment. Apparently unaware of that old saying about catching more flies with honey than with vinegar (not true, incidentally, but that's an issue for another time), Taitz essentially accused the judge of committing treason. And, referring to the U.S. District Court on which Land serves, she wrote, "there is increasing evidence that the United States District Courts in the 11th Circuit are subject to political pressure, external control, and, mostly (sic) likely, subservience to the same illegitimate chain of command which Plaintiff has previously protested in this case, except that the de facto President is not even nominally the Commander-in-Chief of the Article III Judiciary."
For some reason, Land wasn't especially happy about this.
In an order issued Friday, Land denied Taitz's request and announced that he was considering making good on his threat of sanctions. He ordered the attorney-slash-dentist "to show cause why the Court should not impose a monetary penalty of $10,000.00 upon Plaintiff’s counsel for her misconduct," and gave her 14 days to do so.
Land also took a swipe at Taitz's performance as an attorney, writing at one point that "competent counsel would have understood" one part of the law that was at issue. The implication was obvious.

Could Taitz and betty McCaghney be twins?
They have different hair styles but they both have the same crazy look in their eyes.
They are both putting forth lunitic ideas and lies. I think it goes to show what I have been saying for quite a while now. republicanism is a mental illness! 25% of America is truely crazy. All of America is suffering because of them.
There was a huge Republican push to close mental institutions, at least I remember was the case in New York, because they were too expensive and weren't good for the system. I recall it being under Reagan (possibly California before hand) but it spread to the East Coast about this time (82,83?)
The long term strategy for this was to let more mentally ill live among us, because only the mentally ill would vote Republican.
Republicans, and their hatred of social spending, got together with some on the the Left, and their hatred of involuntary confinement: a dangerous combination.
Bipartisanship can lead to very bad results.
Federal Housing assistance was slashed by more than 75% From 35 billion to around 8 billion. All the time the homelessness was getting worse.
As stated, bipartisanship can lead to very bad results
A lot of the homeless are the mentally ill, no longer cared for by society, because Reagan wanted to throw ducats at the military, failing to recognise what true welfare is.
Reagan is the 'shining star' these heartless assholes like to pin their greedy hopes on.
There was a liberal attempt to out-patient most of the mentally ill, during the 70's, because often they were only mentally retarded and harmful to no one, but targets for the criminally insane. Children were regularly taken away from retarded parents. Mickey Rooney played this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uYygpVRNmvI
They succeeded, but then republicans like ray gunn came in and cancelled programs that would've provided out-patient care, and drug rehabilitation programs in prison, thus aggravating the homeless problem.
Speaking of shining stars:

mental health care system in the USA is because at some point, some of these so-called "compassionate" conservatives figured out that a bed in prison is more cost effective than a bed at a psychiatric institution.
Part of the reason why we have one of the largest inmate populations in the world is because a big percentage of our prisoners should have been receiving mental health care.
One has to wonder the sheer lack of humanity of a system like ours... where cost analyses trump any sort of humane consideration.
prisons are being privatised. It's good business to lock them up in the penal system.
I engaged in a lively debate with my sociology professor (Dr. William Martin, an excellent teacher AND author, just FYI) about the Texas prison system. He helped me understand that the prison systems in the US are highly profitable businesses, and the intent of the companies that run them is profit. This intent is an integral aspect of the system, regardless of whether the 'company' running the prison(s) is the state or federal government, or a private concern.
to make more profit. My dad worked for the DOC in this state, and yeah, they wanted to make profit I remember him talking about the big wakeup call in 53 when there was a large prison riot and again in 55
PRISONS: The Diggers
Both times, it was the need for improvements that triggered the riots.
BTW, the Dr Thomas Harris mentioned in the Time article went on to write "I'm OK, You're OK"
I also put the onus on St. Ronnie for the big push to privatize prisons.
Sidenote to Tyler: Did I see your name on comment to a tbo.com article?
You sure can't fix stupid.
So you want them to breed?
Yo Orly, I like how you're all lawyerly and all, and I'mma let you finish, but Octo-mom has the best crazy routine in the State of California. The best crazy routine ever !
I suggest a comfy psych ward in any reputable mental institution where she can watch Mayberry R.F.D. reruns and eat tasty egg salad sandwiches.

Now oily tits will have to go back to pole dancing
Which is dancing for a dime with guys named Stanislaus.
It's too oily in the day for you to talk about tits.
So is it still too oily in the morn fer ye?
oily taint...slips off everywhere she sits?
is the self-confidence in her illusions. Or delusions. That she has such convictions in the face of facts. Why, she is a veritable Donna Quixote tilting at windmills.
Why in the world would anyone file a case with a court they don't even recognize as legitimate?
...that they would use public transportation to attend a protest rally that is protesting taxes used for spending on public services and then complain that public transportation wasn't able to get all the protesters to the protest efficiently.
They're trying to be clever
As in
The government can't even run a bus service, and you want them running health care?
to the moon

... of the people, for the people and by the people can't be "trusted" by these people. What does that say about the people?
SNAP!!!!!
People need to stand up to these idiots and let them know there are consequences for their actions. They are wasting our time and resources and should be made to pay for it.
She should do something thar inolves nothing but non-stop talking, like a Telethon, or fundraiser for PBS.
Just my opinion.
I don't agree. He was very restrained and professional in that interview and he has been dead on in his criticism for all the shows of his I've seen.
there sure was a hint of hissy dickishness in the air.
both of them suck.
He just wanted to be professional and state the facts. She is neither professional nor factual.
that was a tough watch. man i can't stand what counts as journalism these days.
so she can continue to spew her nonsense.

trying to pull teeth around here (old orly joke she likes to say around the orange county birther functions)
"She who has O. Taitz is lost...."
;-)
I have homework. Need to tear... myself...away...
And this could be only the beginning. If she's sanctioned, she'll be required to report that to the Bar which could hold it's own inquiry.
DumbDumbDumbDumbDumb.
I've been wonder why she can't just be disbarred.
... but that's unlikely. Although personally insulting a District Court Judge is pretty good start....
Disbar her ass like they did to Jack Thompson.
Wow, $10,000. Let's see, 4 or 5 root canals should cover that.
Dear Dog, can you imagine having her for a dentist?
I think she's bucking for a job at Abu Ghraib.

anti Muslim, married for citizenship...over on wiki
Can we lift the no tv coverage rule just this once. I want to see the look on her face and watch as the judge gives her jail time when she loses it.
...in my still steaming hot Assclowns of the Week #77. Yes, believe it or not, she made the middle of the pack.
This woman need some Medical help and fast. And they want to stop the Health care option.
And her insurance wouldn't cover her mental health treatment since her disorder is pre-existing. :)
Didn't the Church Council of Nicea in 325 ce anathematize the doctrine of pre-existence?
Tater claims this guy is on Obama's 'side' for ruling against her. And the guy who will hear the bullshit is unbiased.
If I were her, I would think challenging the legality of the war, during the Bush Admin would have been more honourable.
And she also states that Nobody has seen the long form BC. She knows this, how? Facts not in evidence.
Jesus. Let's hope she is a better dentist than lawyer. She needs to have her citizenship yanked (if she is one) and be sent back to the former USSR, where she belongs.
This guy all but told her to STFU. Good on him. Better, he should not give assholes like this the mic.
Orly has posted 'notice' of her response to why she shouldn't have to pay $10,000 in sanctions.
You see the entire judiciary, as well as the 'top brass' of the DoD and DoJ are conspiring against Orly. They are just like the communists in the Soviet Union (she should know!). They may even be preparing to send Orly to a "FEMA GULAG". (Wow, Orly is a Beck fan, who knew?)
She closes with:
Full text of FRCP Rule 11.
Poor Orly.
What about that other judge Taitz mentioned who is supposedly going to hear her case? (I believe the name was David Carter?) Does anyone know anything about this? Or is she just flat -out nuts?
on Obama counsel's Motion to Dismiss.
Interesting note on 11th Circuit case:
A quick search around the interwebs seems to turn up some conflicting information on Judge Carter but it may be that Carter main drive may to be to put this issue to bed once and for all. Looking at some of his ruling he seems to be a fair judge so maybe this is for the best.
However I do not think that losing the case would shut up Oily Taint and her merry band of nutjobs.
be read here.
All scheduling beyond the Oct. 5 hearing is tentative.
of ANOTHER magistrate, nothing to do with this steaming pile's case. She wanted some other guy off the case, and Judge Carter told her to pee up a rope.
Two of the plaintiff's are accusing her of filing motions w/out their consent. And, Taitz refused to sign the order for a substitution of counsel because she doesn't get along with the other attorney. BUT substitution of counsel is not to notify the court that the attorneys will work together, but to replace one with the other. Is she really that dumb?
OF COURRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSEEEE!!
BEE's with Honey...
At least where I grew up,
Who wants to catch flies? blegh ... To catch them means they will be in the area, which means they are landing on your cup edge, regurgitating their previous meal of your dog's shit and sloshing it around your coffee cup.
The link posted gave me a good tip regarding keeping those bastards away... However their fruit fly trap is lacking.
Now fruit flies are a pest... They come in on bananas and so forth and are a bit different from those filthy houseflies.
To catch those get a glass of Water half n half with some vinegar, Apple cider is good because it is aromatic, but any will do. Take a tea spoon of sugar and mix. Then drop a drop or two of dish soap into the cup to break the surface tension of the liquid... This ensures that they will not be leaving-- I noticed a few people talking about making paper cones and other such nonsense.
Just remove the surface tension and they drown just about instantaneously.
Hey just like the Right wingers!!
If you really want to attract flies, you need poo, or rotting organic material.
Flies don't care about honey. It doesn't go rancid.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwIbb3McVW4
seriously, this goofy cow seems to want to avail herself of a legal system that has told her over and over that she's wrong BUT....
she insists on spending her money on these frivolous lawsuits and its time she was allowed to keep on keepin on until all of her money is in the system.
here's an aside...how many friggin houses has she sold?
She talks funny has a heavy accent how can she be entitled to say anything, is her being a foreigner that Mentally disturbing? The media just keeps airing this Bimbo, what is it with women on the right do they all suffer from being Brain Dead.
Make the fine $100,000 dollars
Why are the idiots always so cocksure of themselves?
There was a study a few years back that showed that the more intelligent a person was the more likely to question themselves and this made them seem less sure of themselves. Conversely the less intelligent a person was the more confident that they were right because they didn't stop to question if their conclusion was accurate.
"Too dumb to get rattled".
So Orly dear, what would happen to a realtor/dentist/lawyer/puppet in the USSR if they called a judge first treasonous, then a tyrant? Siberia perhaps? In your case I suspect some rich neo-con has made a deal with you. If you go to prison you will receive a blank check in the world of corporate welfare. Am I right dear? Come on give it up. How much did they promise you?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-8j8c7iL3E
bela lugosi classic. in the end, the lead character got the woman and the angora sweater; it was the happiest ending i have ever seen.
Only $10,000?!
No doubt that will be balance by her response to his order to "show cause". She'll probably get another fine for that.
over the place. The assertion that the POTUS was born in Kenya is not backed up with the evidence this Russian is demanding of him, and which was shown. It was also shown when he had to get a passport to go to Indonesia, when he was a kid.
She has not produced a verifiable Kenyan LONG FORM BC, so I will draw the conclusion that she [erroneously] considers her opinion to be fact.
The other thing the Lawsuit that Carter is examining claims Obama is a citizen of Indonesia, and did nothing to reclaim his US citizenship. Where is the paperwork on that? If he was born in Kenya, when was he ever a US citizen? If he HAD US citizenship AFTER being born in Kenya, there is reams of paperwork on it. People with this kind of history are obliged to fill out paperwork before their 18th birthday to secure alien residence or citizenship rights.
This woman should be fined to the poorhouse and deported, stripped of any legal 'right' to be here. She's created a great strain on this country and its freedoms, and is infringing upon the right of the people to be governed by the person who was legally and democratically elected.
Send Orly back to
RussiaMoldova.who then moved to Israel, and who has lived in the USA for a tad over two decades and who is US citizen by marriage to be the poster child of people questioning the citizenship of our president.
The accent of this idiot just adds to the whole surreal hypocrisy of the whole thing.
Why is this walking talking piece of bovine digestive byproduct getting any air time at all? Who the f*ck does due diligence in these so-called "news" organizations?
Enough, seriously, enough already. Maybe Mrs. Orly thinks she is still back in Moldova, but in the USA there is freedom of expression, not freedom to libel. Unf*ckingbelieveable....
"who then moved to Israel, and who has lived in the USA for a tad over two decades and who is US citizen by marriage to be the poster child of people questioning the citizenship of our president."
You nailed it. She truly is the new, and loudest, village idiot.
Taitz, the attorney-slash-dentist...if she's as bad with teeth as she is with the law, I'm thinking 'Marathon Man'!
It is quite the sight to see a crazy c*nt, who came to this country in the late 80s, going around with a mail-in law diploma questioning the "qualifications" of a Harvard Law graduate born in this country.
So let's see Mrs. Taitz's birth certificate and law diploma, shall we?
On Wiki it states Rhodes has asked to have removed her as attorney in the case and Rhodes knew nothing about the latest filing.
Ah hell in Eastern Europe a woman being slapped around is considered foreplay.
She looks a bit turned on, but hey! She's getting the attention she CRAVES!
To make the news circuit 14 more times and spread more propaganda.
These new channels are showing the level of their reputation by continuing to give airtime to, as the court has already proven time and again, a flat-out liar.
You think they might have something, other than ratings, to gain by spreading lies about the president?
BTW, as a point of comparison, remember how DAN RATHER backed of of his claims that Bush went AWOL, despite having the evidence in hand...BECAUSE HE FELT HE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE??? Guess claims are enough these days.
Orly Taitz:
Foamy-like secretions formed when a man's love torpedo rubs against the side walls of a man's rear torpedo tube!
you go judge!
"Could Taitz and betty McCaghney be twins?"
Looking at both people's behaviors, that is a very strong possibility.
To hell with the lawyer, this Capt.Rhodes should be put on trial also!
Capt Rhodes has already disavowed and fired Ms Taitz. Rhodes plans to report for duty. As per recent update on Wiki.
I can't believe a commissioned officer is allowed to go through with this.
Of all the problems in America today, this disease refuses to go away. Oily Titz. WHY??
Who in their right mind will want Oily Titz? Can you imagine the stigma, the constant ridicule and contempt you'll receive for having Oily Titz?
Haven't the American people suffered enough? A cure for Oily Titz must be found, and fast!!
... it's the Oily Taints I stay away from.
Orly Taitz is one of many on the right wing who was mentally destroyed when the final election results came down.
Orly, why do you hate America?
In the interest of seeing this debacle through to its logical conclusion, I would invite Ms. Taitz to stay "on mission", "stay the course"....and keep filing. Aside from the fines, it may reach a point where a contempt charge is filed against Ms. Taitz....and God willing, jail time and possible deportation back to the land of the czars. If that ever happens, and I pray it does...like Cartman on South Park, I would love to taste her tears as they ran with her ample mascara, down her weathered face.
Bitch, you weren't even born here...shut the fuck up!
She is in it for the fame and the disruption... and that she is batshit crazy. But sadly, that will just bolster her batshit crazy supporters even further.
The thing is, just by having her face on TV, she wins. The only way this kind of crazy can be beaten is by killing its attention. Don't bring her on the tv for an interview!!!! It won't work!
Oh, what a sad, sad day that neo-con white folk can't harass a black man with lawsuits to send him back to Africa (or Canada or Neptune or wherever he was born).
Will this be going away *any* time soon? Please?
...party would demand that this psychotic barely audible bitch to fuck off.
very funny. "[A] responsible member of the Republican party?" No such animal anymore.
You slay me LeftandLeft.
That's all?! Why not $50,000? Why not $100,000?? Money seems to be the only thing the Angry Group values--why not hit her hard in her rather deep pockets?!
Its a progressive fine. If Ms taitz shows up and starts shooting off her mouth, the judge can make the fine larger or have Ms Taitz become a guest of the government until she apologizes.
Let's hope she gets what she so richly deserves...
On cue
and to direct/change world views of those especially who drink a lot of corn syrup in their diet - I believe in America, they have called it psychological warfare...
O'Reilly, Beck, Oily, Ms. Adams Apple (Ann-dee Coulter) - gawd they are everywhere.
None of them know who they really are or maybe they got a few different people inside...saying the magic word presses the magic psyche button and BOING....they spring into robotic action...
How much do commercials cost on the national media today? How much does a 30 second political ad cost? A 60 second? How about a 5 minute ad?
$10,000 seems quite the bargain.
"Capt. Connie Rhodes, a Army surgeon who claimed that she couldn't follow her orders to deploy to Iraq because she's not sure President Obama is eligible, under the Constitution, to hold his current position."
Under the law, what Captain Rhodes is doing is desertion and cowardice. Wonder if that "he's not legally President" defense would have worked for Private Eddie Slovik?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Slovik
Orly Taitz, one of Mother Nature's true idiots.
