Bay Buchanan Suddenly Finds Religion on Waste, Cronyism, Corruption and Government Spending
By Heather Wednesday Nov 26, 2008 8:00pm
From Larry King Live Nov. 25, 2008 while discussing the potential stimulus package Obama is proposing, Bay Buchanan suddenly finds religion on government waste, cronyism and corruption.
This Republican cheerleader suddenly doesn't like that these things might go on when she sat silent about them all through the Bush administration. Bay, where were you at while they were playing football with pallets full of our money in Iraq and while Halliburton was blowing up $70,000 trucks at cost plus to our government? Where were you when they were giving no bid contracts for Gulf Coast reconstruction and they used about ten middle men in the process before finally hiring some illegal alien to do the actual work and stealing our tax dollars?
I could go on, and I'm sure the readers here can give a longer list of the things that Republicans have ignored while Bush was in charge of the theft of our tax dollars. To see the feigned outrage from those who cheered Bush along the entire way now that we're in a mess of Bush's making so huge it's hard to imagine how we'll come out of it is nothing short of infuriating. Bay, you're a day late and way more than a dollar short.

I saw this last night and spit my soup at the TV when she said that.
I have to say as well that the other woman, while she was choking on her words she was actually giving President Obama props. Kid of. Or as much as a Republican tool could. Maybe she is looking for a Monica Lewinsky type job. (Ok, that was out of line and I am sorry!)
Sorry, my bad too.
Delete this post plz. I thought that the good Captain meant Bay Buchanan. Hence my smarmy goggles remark.
is Blackwater, et al, both at home and abroad. Paying 4-5x the salaries of our military to private mercenaries as well as administrative millions to Eric Prince, a crony. Blackwater, KBR, Dynacorp, and all other mercenary wannabe's should be outlawed as illegal.
Oh, then there is funding military equipment which was not sufficient, making families send supplies to our troops, because the government wouldn't pony up good enough (or in some cases any) equipment.
Is that Nancy Ptotenhauerhofferhof in the lower left hand corner of that video? I'm not sure if it is her, I can't stand her, and I wish she would just go away!
but that was my first thought...haven't we seen enough of that damned lying bitch?
I don't know who disgusts me more, her or that lying sack of shit, Brad Blakeman (whom I believe is the founder of the soon-to-be-defunct Freedom's Watch, which is right out of the Ministry of Truth).
The one and only!! And she was the one who was giving President Obama props while she was choking on her words.
It is her. Although I detest everything the woman says and stands for, I kinda have a crush on her. Gulp.
tatooed on!
.
Dear Bay,
IOKIYR?
.
Please do, Haliburton has nothing on Wall Street.
Wall Street makes Blackwater look like pikers!
$8.5 Trillion and counting!
There is a whole mess of religion there.
I can understand how they might have needed to keep these people around to meet balanced air time for Republicans during the election but what's their excuse now? Has CNN no memory of what these pundits said and tried to do to America? Bay and all the other ignorant, hateful, chattering pundits better be gone real soon - like as soon as their contracts expire, or i will look elsewhere for political discourse.
As much as I agree, I think that the Tabloid Mentality will always prevail. Irritate and excite! Challenge with untruths and then just say: " Well it was my opinion." The baying person and her poison spewing brother Patter are master irritators and probably won't go away 'til kingdom comes. Poutenwhatever is the president of the Blond Bimbos for America Society bless her heart and she knows how to keep the money coming in from the willing. Thanks for Giving All.
I keep saying, Republicans are a different breed of human. Almost a different species. They are like some subterranean beings that actually do NOT know the difference between right and wrong. They lie. They cheat. They steal. They manipulate. They are utterly and totally devoid of any ability to admit wrongdoing or mistakes. It is ALWAYS someone else at fault, no matter what the facts are. And this is across the board. They spew the same ridiculous nonsense in unison. What planet were these "people" evicted from?? Many people have suggested we just ignore them. Our protests just seem to stoke them further. Personally, I do not take them nearly as seriously as I once did. I realize they can and will always be a source of threat and aggravation, but so are rattlesnakes. Best to just stay away from them but not forget they're around.
I know, I know -- I sometimes think that they'll take over and rip their human masks off to reveal the lizard faces underneath (à la "V") ... then again, I think we have to take a chance that some of them are actually humans who are beginning to change their minds. Yeah, keep an eye on them, but don't make it too difficult for them to change, improve, grow, and progress.
Otherwise, we'll become like them.
Y'all remember Bush getting caught describing 9/11 in terms of winning the Trifecta? It was all because it would allow him to indulge in massive deficit spending. One way to look at deficit spending is that it's a way for a politician to steal money from the budget of their successor. Heckuva job there, Dubya.
Bay was right seven hundred thousand, seven hundred thousand million that is, I wish they would stop using words like billion or trillion. I believe in England they say thousand million instead of a billion. It takes 12 days spending a dollar a second to spend a million dollars, it takes over 31 years to do the same for a billion dollars.
If we spend that money and use it to put Americans to work and make America better then it will be money well spent. If however we do whats been done lately, which is to hand out cash to "contractors" and middlemen with little or no oversight, it will be another couple of trillion and nothing but a hangover to show for it. In Oregon we still use many of the public works projects that the New Deal funded.
This is so pathetic. The right wing pundits never criticized Bush and republicans when they were in charge of both house, congress and white house. In fact, republicans had a chance to implement reagonomics principles like never before and that destroyed our economy. Here is the truth: REAGANOMICS FAILED, CONSERVATISM FAILED.
Get over it republicans, you should never be in charge. Do you want to reinvent yourselves and do something that works? Try being progressive.
..ala Joe Lieberman-- with the express purpose of destroying any hard work and progress which true progressives have managed to be able to achieve in the face of much adversity.
Who needs them at all, I ask...?
Who writes this stuff?
Well dont ya see if the if they had admonished and got on the bush admin for the wrongs it has committed or the money it has either wasted mismanaged or stole then they would be putting contry first over party and as we all know that is as possible as sarah palin speaking in coherent sentaces its party first and to hell with country like some dems...reid .pelosi and those adviseing obama to forgo the investigations into the bush admin war crimes and malfesence its all about politics and covering ass
They ONLY show THEIR HYPOCRISY to the rest of America .. we aren't THAT stupid!
The others should have fallen over laughing and asked Bay-o if she had looked at six years under total Republican rule. Talk about drunken frat boys
I don't know how you guys missed this, but Pat Buchanan must have been injected with a truth serum of late.
A couple of days ago on MSNBC's Hardball With Chris Matthews, Buchanan was discussing the current conservative Republican economic disaster with Mark Green of Air America Radio and let it slip that it was conservative Republican President Richard Nixon's failed economic policies that sunk the Carter presidency.
You know, the high inflation and high interest rates that the Right always reminds us were hallmarks of the Jimmy Carter years? Well, Pat Buchanan is now telling us all of that was caused by the failed economic policies of the conservative Republican administration before Carter!
He went further to warn that, if he isn't careful, Obama's presidency might be sunk by the current conservative Republican president's failed economic policies as well.
Considering Buchanan was the senior advisor to conservative Republican Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford and the inevitable Ronald Reagan, the man speaks with authority on the subject!

[[GREEN: Pat, the problem today is not inflation, as you know. It's deflation.
BUCHANAN: It's the problem tomorrow.
GREEN: And let me just quote Richard Nixon. Government doesn't create wealth, but if the private sector is immobilized or seized up, then we're all Keynesians, which simply means you have the government replacing consumers, or else we'll have a depression...
BUCHANAN: I'll remind you that Nixon's Keynesianism resulted in the greatest economic recession this country has seen since the Depression, 1979, 1980. You ought to know that because with 13 percent interest rates, 21 percent-I mean, 21 interest rates, 13 percent inflation, and it killed Jimmy Carter's administration. That's what Obama better watch out for.]]
