Andrea Mitchell Asks If President Obama Is Acting More Like Hamlet Than the Commander in Chief
After playing part of old "Five Deferments" Dick Cheney's radio interview with right wing radio host Scott Hennen, Andrea Mitchall asks if President Obama is "acting more like Hamlet than the Commander in Chief". This from the supposed "liberal" network, MSNBC.

The msm would quit draging out these tired old retreads night after night droaning on and on with utter bullshit and nonsense.
I havn't watched a tv news broadcast since 2003. Don't intend to ever watch the corporate news again.
republicanism/conservatism is a mental illness that is killing America!
You're dying of thirst and you walk out of the desert. I have one bottle of ice water that can save your life. I also know that you have a $10 bill. So guess what the price of ice water goes to?
I'm an exploitive capitalist, you're the choice less consumer in the new command economy.
What part of supply and demand do you not understand? You could put an anti-capitalist in this situation and they'd still boost the price.
of why regulations are so important
there are many people who have an innate sense of fairness and believe in doing good work/supplying a good product for a fair price.
This total greed & charge what the market will bear philosophy is harmful to long term solutions.
Unfortunately, corporations aren't people -- and they are _mandated_ to maximize profit for shareholders. So a "sense of fairness" means squat.
You think? If someone were dying, I'd give them the water free. Ho hesitation.

in this damn park in the first place." OCCUPY.!!
stay away from 24 hour cable news,
that he would go after Obama. He has delivered on his promise. all but Maddow and Olbermann are hostile to the dems and to Obama. at best, shuster and odonnell aren't that bad, but get no regular air.
Some stuff you can't make up!
The Obama administration hasn't gotten a free pass entirely from Rachel or Keith. They go after them on policy issues and for not taking more of a stand on issues, but at least they have kept it above the fray and non-personal.
"When are we going to stop trying to tell elected officials what to do. Our job is to spend the taxpayers' money the best way we can." -- Tommy Watkins, Justice of the Peace, Crawford County, Arkansas
I said they are not hostile.
Some stuff you can't make up!
MSNBC is liberal? Mr. Koolaid?
should STFU.
Hey Pat...where was your outrage as Americans died and were maimed during Dubya's reign of horror?
Buchanan was a senior adviser to Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan. So you just wasted time asking a question.
He is an ideologue of a different stripe. He hated the neocons. Like them he is a vicious reactionary. He is, for instance, quite the racist.
Buchanan is a paper tiger. He has no bite left in him.
Andrea Mitchell is carrying on the proud (ha!) tradition of Tim Russert, poisoning the water supply so to speak by presenting Republican talking points as though they were news or news analysis. There's very little news on The News. Don't watch. It's bad for you.
I have a solution so that we don't have to watch her on MSNBC anymore. She would fit in perfectly with the Hannity and Oreilly group over at Fixed News. IMO she is the Lou Dobbs of MSNBC. Joe Scarborough should join her because he is using his show as a springboard to possibly running for office again. Her lack of objectivity really showed when she attended the GOP convention last year. Maybe her contract with NBC has to do with the fact that she is playing the part of doubter-in-chief for them. I just hope that as far as the MSM is concerned, that we return to what is lacking which is objectivity. Talking points should be fact checked at all times before it is released out on the airwaves.
Paying Attention to the Real not the Memorex
The real agenda will remain unopposed as long as they can masquerade as their own opposition.
Cheney at the 3:20 mark: "The president is the one we pay the big bucks to make these decisions".
But the $200,000/year "big bucks" pales in comparison to the big bucks a vice president can make when he makes the decision to lie a nation to war then steer tax payer funded no-bid government contracts to the former company he headed and holds stock in. http://www.rawstory.com/news/2005/Cheneys_sto...
underestimating the ___________ fill in the blank.
... vindictiveness of Dick Cheney
is $400,000 but your point is more than valid.

The war on terror is a hoax and it will cost Obama a short carreer as president unless the Hoax is exposed.
History shows it is very easy to scare and Manipulate the American people into war.
She has a conflict of interest in any story that could affect her husband's reputation and place in history. In other words, everything about the economy. Is this conflict ever disclosed on msnbc?
Finally a true conspiracy for Beck and Hannity - but then they'd have to admit that Greenspan's Ayn Rand/Reagan worship is causing the things they're trying to blame on Obama.
that the US did NOT have a terrorist attack under GWB??? So says the genius Ms. Perino (on Faux Newz, of course)!
In between 'look! nekkid supermodels,' 'Katie Couric GETS DOWN!,' and 'Megan Fox: Women Who Call Me Slutty Are Just Jealous.'
a fine example of what happens when AOL is in control of your destiny. All downhill.
... it should be the ADOSM (Attention Deficit ... OOOOH, SHINY! Media).
Media monopolies are in full bloom, and I have severe allergies.
I still go over there, but I only view what I want. I never read the celebrity stuff. Sometimes, in my spare time, I am attracted to human interest pieces.
I know what you're saying, but on the net I can choose. CNN, etc., not so much.
"If the US government enforced its banking laws like it did its park regulations, we wouldn't be
in this damn park in the first place." OCCUPY.!!
You mean that feculent, festering, suppurating slag who lied so prettily for the Busheviks?
perino, of the obama admin...
..that we know of, why hasn't anyone asked ms. lap-do..er, perino what she meant by that?
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"
Keoni: "NOT NOW MICKEY!"
the very first sentence in article wher she opens her trap should be
"Andrea Mitchell, wife of Alan Greenspan the man who started the US on the road to abscurity and poverty".
she is a worthless piece of sh*t.
their bank accounts have grown by enormousness proportions. The poor are just lazy losers because they refuse to "participate in the system".
..anything a failed poli...strike that..why is anything an inhuman ba$tard says of any relevance? Instead of using his comments to bash Obama, why not ask him why his old company electrocuted our soldiers in Iraq? Why not ask him why they invaded a sovereign nation that was no threat to us? Why not ask him why he allowed us to go into that conflict on the cheap? Why not ask him what should happen to someone who outs a covert CIA agent? Why not ask him what color of jump suit he prefers when we put his miserable ass in jail for his crimes?
That report was worthless and you are capable of better! And, why waste time with anything pat buchanan says; he needs to take time off and sit on a porch somewhere!
Mickey: "It was an epiphany. Do you know what an epipany is?"
Keoni: "NOT NOW MICKEY!"
... someone crazy-glued Buchannan to a chair at MSNBC.
"Hey, we need a guest for Andrea."
"Shit, just roll Buchannan over there. He's got nothing else to do."
"Good idea. They still keep him in the closet?"
"Nah, they gave him an office, he was whining too much about the closet being stuffy and dark."
tooo funny......
did everything these pundits and Darth said, wouldn't the enemy be able to pre-empt every move our military makes?
and she has the temerity to say O is acting like Hamlet? Give me an effing break!
... Hamlet as portrayed by Sir Laurence Olivier, or Hamlet as portrayed by Keanu Reeves?
Not as refined as Sir Olivier, and far superior to any performance by Keanu "Whoa" Reeves.

people could be rioting outside MSNBC and getting mowed down and killed by the police and by 5:00 Andrea and all these dolts would get in the benz and leave the parking garage for a White House Dinner event as if nothing ever happened.
The American Empire has already crashed and burned.
It is now a Zombie, but like the cartoon Road Runner it will keep going for a short while.
Then the bells will be tolling.

We had a military coup d'etat in 2000, we had a financial coup d'etat in 2008.
The Banksters are war profiteers too so it is a shotgun marriage of convenience and greed.
They will puff up the moribund economy but it won't matter.
The working class is hounded and hammered and their days of consumer somnambulism are numbered.
Thirty years of attempting to maintain their eroding financial standing came only through debt slavery.
The jig is up.
Who is the working class, and how they are actually the great majority of the population, here
statusquObama, change you can only pretend in
and i wonder if andrea acts more like a mediawhore or a access junky? ha, who am i kidding, its not an act
Seems to me that the idiots would at least wait to find out what the President's new directives are before they give their biased opinions. Mr Cheeeeney doesn't give a shit about the good ole U S of A. He just wants to keep everybody's focus on the wars and not on his malfeasance. Cheeeeeeney should be pilloried by the public and/or ostracized by this government.
Can't think of any redeeming qualities for either Mitchell and certainly none for Buchannan.
Is this the same as asking whether Mitchell is acting more like beck than a newscaster??
She's been doing her conservative, right-wing hate machine act for a long time now and it's getting REAL old...
Andrea's bored. I guess the old man ain't layin' pipe to her anymore.
"Anyone that makes less than $150K in this country, has no business voting Republican."
... was sobbing dejectedly, mumbling, "Oh, Ayn, Ayn, where did I go wrong?"
That's why she ain't gettin' any. He's so depressed.
"Anyone that makes less than $150K in this country, has no business voting Republican."
Yes, Deferment Dick knows a thing or two about taking decisive action. Whether it's filling out one of his five deferments or starting a needless war, he's the man who wrote the book on decisiveness.
How many times does someone have to be proven wrong about national defense, amongst other things, before the media stop parroting his idiotic ideas?
Can't bring myself to watch the clip 'cause I don't care what these people have to say about ANYTHING. Idiotic, disengenuous question.
I've never watched Andrea Mitchell's show but it has to start with a huge scraping sound 'cause she certainly has to scrape the bottom of the barrel with her guests . .
Buchanan is a PARTISAN L-O-S-E-R and why should anyone care about his opinion?
It's a reasonable question at this point. What happens whne events don't give Obama 5 months to make a decision? Hamlet is a nice comparison. This admin has turtle-like reaction time.
Every situation is different. So what you are saying is that Obama should have to make a quick decision on a war that has been going on for 8 years? That the incredibly complex situation should just be decided on immediately and there is no room to change the strategy. It took Bush almost 6 months from when it was first announced to actually making his final decision on the "surge" in Iraq. Nothing wrong with taking a few months on a much more fluid and complicated situation.
We need some more "turtle-like" decision making and less "gut" in this country. It would keep this country from going downhill and out of stupid wars.
Well then by all means hold off all decision until year 4.
Don't be the last on your block to figure out Obama is not fighting for your side.
The decision is likely coming in the next week. That will mean that in less than a year in office he has completely increased the focus on Afghanistan where there was none, and moving to completely revamp the strategy with an exit strategy. Pretty admirable.
He may even convince the Europeans to add more troops. Something Bush could not do.
He has put pressure on Karzi, something Bush never did.
I am note sure how much faster you want our commander and chief to work on and change the strategy on a very complex situation that became more complex with the sham of an election.
Obama is doing all the right things in Afghanstan. Trying to make up for 8 wasted years.
Not sure what "side" you are talking about. I am on the side of doing the right thing for this country.
Hamlet?
Ironic, considering Mitchell is married to Polonius. Greenspan is the same kind of doddering, misguided backroom fixer who served Hamlet's corrupt step-Dad so loyally. Luckily for Greenspan, he didn't end up like Polonius, after wrecking the economy and the financial sytem.
not one talking head in MSM has said that the president should take all the time he needs to consider every possible angle when making the decision to send troops into harms way. instead they spin it as a weakness, bad for the troops and any angle but the basic fact. thay all praised bush co. for the "decisiveness" of his decisions and we know how that decisiveness has killed too many, cost too much and placed our country on the path we find ourselves today. this is proven by the recent British report that blare planned early and planned poorly to join bush co. on their quest in iraq.
and why is the very real fact that the current government of afganistan is corrupt is never a part of the conversation. i for one think that bit of info is vitally important. but hey, the leader of afganistan is an old time bush buddy so what more should we expect.
Not sure exactly what Buchanan is actually complaining about?
He has a problem with someone taking time to figure out the way forward with Afghanistan? What exactly is he expecting? Obama just to do exactly what Bush/Cheney did for the last 8 years, which is really ignore Afghanistan.
He says:
"Does not speak well of him as a commander and chief."
"How do you ask 100s to go to their death... for what is really a question market.. he does not know in his own mind what exactly he is going to do and what are objectives are?"
How does Buchanan know this?
What exactly is Buchanan talking about? What does not speak well of Obama as a commander in chief? Putting a new focus on Afghanstan, where there has not been one for 8 years? Does that not speak well of him? Coming up with a new plan or getting more serious about the objectives in Afghanistan? Does that not speake well as commander and cheif? To me that sounds like a hell of a lot better commander and chief than the one we just had! And exactly what the commander and chief should be doing.
Maybe there is some questions about the way forward and what the objectives are because after 8 years (far longer then WWII) very little has been accomplished in Afghanistan and it was so completely poorly planned from the beginning. It is mess that Obama has to clean up.
Again, what the hell does Buchanan expect Obama to do? Don't focus on Afghanistan, continue on as we were, don't take the time to figure out this situation and come up with a new plan? What the fuck is Buchanan actually complaining about.
Buchanan is just all about political bashing on a topic that he has no particular inside information about what is going on and no first-hand knowledge of Afghanistan.
He talks about "victory", but why does he not define exactly what "victory" means... Another chickenhawk that talks tough, but has no really idea what is going on...?
It is a complete waste of airtime to have a guy like Buchanan on there. He adds no value. Why doesn't Andrea actually put someone on there who actually knows a little about Afghanistan and can have a little deeper perspective of what Obama is doing? It seems that Mitchell is just trying to fill airtime. A pretty empty and useless show.
If you look closer to the facts you will find that all those who speak the loudest are the ones who never served in the Military. I am not going to belabor this point but I will include the link that will emphasize what I'm talking about. Just look at who served and who didn't and their views on War....nuff said

since she gets to sleep with a douche with the face of an ass every night.
Understanding that she is a BRAINLESS American Nazi Republican WHORE, these are the words from the MORON on her Anti American Noise network, and this Gutless, Spineless, WHORE hasn't been told what to say, so like a good WHORE she does as she is told just proving further that the American Nazi Republican agenda is more important then the Truth.
You know what I am saying is the truth because this WHORE has NOT denounced or demanded a apology for herself and sisters so until then ALL American Nazi Republican women are WHORES a badge they proudly wear as they go down or who ever they are told to serve.
Just like the good WHORES they are.
I can't believe these assholes are criticizing the President during a time of war.
Hamlet knew.
Hamlet is fine with me. The USA and allies wouldn't be in this mess if Bush were Hamlet.

They merely are not of the same caliber of dumber-by-the-minute uber-conservatism that is FOX News. To which alongside...all others appear to be liberal.
here agree that Obama hasn't been decisive enough to deliver on his promises? The post right above this on the main page says exactly that! So what is the problem with the comparison to Hamlet?
but tell me again.
Why is Mrs. Alan Greenspan always on my teevee and why should I be listening to what she says?
What? A Journalist?
HAHAHAHAHAHA!
