Rolling Thunder spokesman slams Palin bus tour as a 'big distraction'

Sarah Palin is kicking off her One Nation bus tour this weekend at the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally in Washington, D.C.
Rolling Thunder spokesman Ted Shpak said Friday that the former Republican vice presidential candidate was a "big distraction" from their mission of trying to bring awareness to prisoner of war/missing in action issues.
"She wasn't invited," he told MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell. "We don't endorse nobody. We have our program after our run down at the Lincoln Memorial and she's not invited to speak. We're not endorsing her."
"I know it's an open event," Mitchell noted. "She can get on the back of a Harley but you're not exactly going to have her bus as part of your event."
"Absolutely not. We're here for a reason and in a way this is been taking away from the reason we're here," Shpak explained. "It's a big distraction."
I knew these bikers and real patriots wouldn't like this. They're to smart to fall for Palin. This is suppose to be a time to remember our vets both living and dead and MIA's. Not a partisan political rally. Just like all Repugs here presidential campaign ain't starting out to well. She things a lot of people like her when it's just a small fraction of this country, it's her ego.

I received "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin" by Frank Bailey, today in the mail. After only reading thirty or so pages I can tell you that Ms Palin is not going to be happy about what Mr Shpak is saying. She doesn't like it when things don't go exactly her way.

Rolling Thunder should also make a concerted effort this weekend to LOUDLY reiterate the fact to media outlets that Palin has nothing to do with its good cause.

I hope that some enterprising journalist follows her around to find out if she pulls the same trick that she did on her "book tour."
