The top US commander in Iraq says that Iraqi security forces are ready to take over responsibility for security in the cities Tuesday. "The continued improvement in overall stability and security makes this the right time for us to turn this over to the Iraqi secury forces," Gen. Ray Odierno told Fox's Brett Baier.

Try as hard as he might, these f*cktards over at the faux propaganda network are wishing there was some way we could keep our forces in the front and dying daily for their nonsense, f*cked up pride.

Who really hates our military? These chicken hawk cowards, that's who.

Is Obama a chicken hawk?

....and hoping for war with anyone who doesn't see life through his window?

If you're thinking he is....maybe we better discuss how this pecker and the rest of the right wing machine NEVER served, but are always willing to toss MY children into the fire for some worthless war.

No...I would say he isn't a chicken hawk. In fact, I'd say he is absolutely not even close.

Satisfied?

This asshat sounds like he even has a choice in the matter!
I thought the Iraqi's are kicking them out, not that the US is leaving because they want to.

Uhhh! That's private.

'Iraqis ready for handover'

That is not headline today in the Timesonline UK

Iraq trembles as US troops pull back

How many US troops are still in their country? Timesonline goes on to say essentially: all of them.

No significant reduction in the present 131,000 US troops is planned before next year.

here

How many US employed private contractors are still in the country?

There were 190,000 in early 2008, CSM here

My sense is that they have not left. Wasn't there some US election about ending the 'war'.

Enquiring minds want to know.

For anyone not paying attention, this is and always has been about oil and MIC profits. Both are still happening and will be happening for some years to come.

Looks like he could use a double dose of ex-lax .

And Mcain never did tell us how to get OBL . But then l believe Benazir Butto ( sp ? ) had it right .

I used to wonder what are we going to do with all of the troops and merc's , now I dont want to know ! .

Odierno says there is 'continued improvement in overall stability and security' in Iraq.

The families of the victims of the many suicide bombings might beg to differ on that assessment.

Iran is still meddling in Iraq's affairs with a straight face.

yep

The big, bad Iranian boogeyman theme is still going strong.

So I'm here in Maysan province, near the Iranian border. I work with the IA's Border Patrol, and IP's pretty much every day. The IP's are totally corrupt, and half do not even show up for their scheduled hours, because their bosses have deals where they only will make half a paycheck but get to stay home all day. The IA soldiers are only marginally better-slightly less corrupt and entirely uninterested in doing their jobs. One of the sheiks reported just a few weeks ago that IA soldiers had run into his village under the guise of looking for bad guys, ransacked homes and took money from them. We try to monitor these things, but what can you do?

General Odierno will always the man because he got all Army soldiers in Iraq 2 beers to enjoy for the superbowl, but I gotta respectfully disagree.

You guys are really cheap to buy off aren't you?

for not reading anything else I wrote but a small blurb about getting 2 beers. Yeah, after being in a country for 6 months of no booze, 2 beers feels pretty damn good.

Odierno=torture enabler

...Teabaggers' and fundies... embrace peace. ♥

"Under the terms the constitution, the country conducted fresh nationwide parliamentary elections on December 15 to elect a new government. The overwhelming majority of all three major ethnic groups in Iraq voted along ethnic lines, turning this vote into more of an ethnic census than a competitive election, and setting the stage for the division of the country along ethnic lines".

What are their differences?

"Iraqi politicians have been under significant threat by the various factions that have promoted violence as a political weapon. The ongoing violence in Iraq has been incited by an amalgam of religious extremists that believe an Islamic Caliphate should rule, old sectarian regime members that had ruled under Saddam that want back the power they had, and Iraqi nationalists that are fighting the U.S. military presence."

Now what ills this world?... Depends on what you believe! Ethnic???

eth·nic
1. Of or relating to sizable groups of people sharing a common and distinctive racial, national, religious, linguistic, or cultural heritage... b. Being a member of a particular ethnic group... c. Of, relating to, or distinctive of members of such a group: ethnic restaurants; ethnic art.

2. Relating to a people not Christian or Jewish; heathen...
n. 1. A member of a particular ethnic group, especially one who maintains the language or customs of the group. [Middle English heathen from Late Latin ethnicus from Greek ethnikos from ethnos people, nation; See - in Indo-European Roots.]

Notes: When in a Middle English text written before 1400 it is said that a part of a temple fell down and “ mad a gret distruccione of ethnykis, ” one wonders why ethnics were singled out for death. The word ethnic in this context, however, means “ gentile,” coming as it does from the Greek adjective ethnikos, meaning “ national, foreign, gentile. ”

The adjective is derived from the noun ethnos, “ people, nation, foreign people, ” that in the plural phrase taethn meant “ foreign nations. ” In translating the Hebrew Bible into Greek, this phrase was used for Hebrew g oyim, “ gentiles”; hence the sense of the noun in the Middle English quotation. The noun ethnic in this sense or the related sense “ heathen” is not recorded after 1728, although the related adjective sense is still used. But probably under the influence of other words going back to Greek ethnos, such as ethnography and ethnology, the adjective ethnic broadened in meaning in the 19th century. After this broadening the noun sense “ a member of a particular ethnic group, ” first recorded in 1945, came into existence.

Please disregard the errant format, but that's the gist of it. :)

Faux News has a war to promote and sell, so this is bad news for it. Perhaps it will turn its attention to Iran now.
