It looks like Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has been proven wrong again.
At a campaign event in Suwanee, Georgia last week, the former House Speaker promised supporters that he would bring back cheaper gas because "you can't put a gun rack on a Volt."
One Crooks and Liars reader noticed our coverage and posted a YouTube video to prove the former Speaker of the House wrong.
"He said you couldn't put a gun rack in a Volt," the car owner explained. "I take this to heart because I own a Volt... And as you can see, you can put a gun rack in the back of a Volt."

Awesome! I figured it wouldn't take long. And had probably already been done before this too. Only problem though is it kinda lets it out of the bag we're not only smarter and better informed but also more heavily armed which will set off another right wing buying spree of guns they can't figure out how to use properly. Bad news for churches, museums and childrens playgrounds.

This isn't really about whether or not a gun rack fits in a Volt. It is about Newt not caring if he tells the truth or not. He has made this statement at a couple of speeches. He obviously had no idea if it was true or not so he just assumed nobody would call him on it. The man has no moral compass to guide him. He just lies and makes stuff up to get sound bites. He is as sleazy as it gets and would sell out this country if elected. So yea he will be the GOP front runner again as soon as it gtets out the Rick Santorum is gay.

You don't get it. What sense is it to put a gun rack where it doesn't show? If it doesn't show, how can you look like you can protect yourself, either with the pickup, or with the guns. Do you really think you got Gingrich in a dumb mistake? Who is dumb? Just put them behind the rear seat, if they are not going to show, and save the rack.
