David Koch Flees from ABC News Over Iran Scandal Questions
ABC News caught David Koch leaving his Park Avenue apartment this week, but the tea party billionaire quickly fled to his car, avoiding questions about a scandal involving his company's trade with Iran.
A recent report in Bloomberg Markets magazine revealed that Koch Industries had been caught paying bribes to win contracts, engaging in possibly-illegal trade with Iran, price fixing, and ignoring environmental regulations.
The magazine also uncovered a Koch Industries document admitting that they had violated federal law.
"It's a document right there on the record, right out of the lips of Koch Industries," Bloomberg Markets reporter David Evans told ABC News.
"I think there are enough of these payments that I think any prosecutor would want to look further," Columbia University Law School professor John Coffee explained.
"The only issue that I think Koch has by way of defense is showing that these payments were never authorized, encouraged or ratified by the parent company, but were only done by the foreign subsidiary."

I doubt Ross' conclusion that this won't sit well with the Koch "friends" in Congress. Heck, it's not like they were trading Stinger missiles to keep American hostages hostages, and nobody seemed to be particularly appalled by *that*.
Still it was nice to see that fat fuck scurry into his SUV like a common criminal.
Sounds like the definition of criminal to me.
Treasonous crimes and misdemeanors.
These mobsters that have infiltrated the political system have to be brought to justice, regardless of how long ago they committed their crimes, or how painful it will be for the nation to prosecute them. The DOJ has to find a way.
"Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob"
-= Franklin Delano Roosevelt =-
You nailed it.
Traitorous fascist scum.
If I were a psychopath, I would join the republican party, and get in on the gravy train taking the Teabircher morons to the cleaners.
The world is full of rich criminals, but when they buy off American Law makers, the way Koch has, it gets real dangerous real fast. Want to see more evidence of Koch buying off American politicians?
Just like Koch himself, this criminal walks away from the reporter and his communications director takes the reporter by the arm...
Meet the biggest Koch Repubican of them all includes video footage
"Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob"

indeed.
This story should be bigger than, or at least as big as the OWS story.
Conspiracy theory,,, Murdoff and the Koch drummed OWS to take American eyes off both their stories that should be headlining American papers :)
OK a stretch, but no one is talking about getting the GOP candidates to "denounce" Koch and/or their money... A democrat would be told to give the money back, or put it into the treasuries coffers and pay down the debt....
People like Koch are always conspiring -- but we cannot know WHAT until they get put on trial.
In this new age, Economic Royalists must be proven guilty BEFORE they are investigated, and a black man on death row has to prove himself innocent WITHOUT a trial.
..you chicken shit son-of-a-bitch, act like a man & answer questions.
Running away from cameras like some bitch coward.
You hand out hundreds of millions of dollars to every unhinged right wing hate group in America like you are some type of courageous badass.
But when you are confronted by a lone reporter concerning your criminal activity bullshit, you run & hide like a little pussy.
Typical Republican.
All Republicans reading take note: This is how your "job creator" Master of the Universe Koch bro acts when confronted by a reporter: He runs & hides like a little girl caught kissing a boy during recess.
If this does not perfectly exemplify the typical Republican on all levels, I don't know what does.
When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in excess body fat & carrying a misspelled sign.
Being a chickenshit is probably WHY he gravitates so much towards fascist power grabs in the first place.
Well adjusted people without fear, can handle other folks doing their own thing -- but cowards can't stand it.
He runs like a little boy caught kissing a boy during recess. After all, he is a Republican.
Men are basically smart or dumb and lazy or ambitious. The dumb and ambitious ones are dangerous and I get rid of them. The dumb and lazy ones I give mundane duties. The smart ambitious ones I put on my staff. The smart and lazy ones I make my commanders.
How dignified. This bunch of pricks could have had more than enough w/o cheating and stealing.
Hope to see you in the dock soon.
me-oww!
will get this.
You balls.
"Better." It's what we should ask of ourselves and of our leaders.
"...but they were only done by the foreign subsidiary."
It never ceases to amaze me. The arrogance of these lying bastards, Give it up. We're on to you.
Maybe your billion$ will buy you favors in your prison cell, you pussy.

It's kind of like the Drug Lord saying; "Hey, that was one of my working teenagers who sold that crack on the streets -- It's not MY responsibility to know what everyone on my payroll is doing..."
Do you suppose he and Murdoch could be tried together? NAH that is wishing on a star
Fucking treason is the staple of these fuckers going back to the effort to oust FDR in a coup thwarted only by a true patriot Smedley Butler, to the treason of Prescott Bush dealing with the Nazis DURING the war to Nixon scuttling LBJ's peace talks in '68 to the October surprise against Carter..........Fucking traitors. That is your GOP.
Nixon sending boosh the slightly smarter to China, as his ambassador, to sell us out.

Today's Republicons are saboteurs and traitors , absolutely .
"The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all."
That's against the Constitution! Where is the teabagger outrage?

POS. Always was, always will be. Let's get him brought to justice. No more Mr. Nice Guy please.
Is it the 21st century yet?
His body language says GUILTY

Please...does anyone here seriously believe that the Koch-sucker will ever be required to face the music? What do you think all those campaign contributions were? It seems clear that they may have been intended as an insurance policy (or a bribe) against prosecution as well as against unfavorable legislation -- and at worst, they were bribes. Mark my words...by hook or by crook, the politicians who have taken money from the Koch brothers will do everything in their power to make certain that they never have to see the inside of a courtroom (let alone a jail cell) because they know that it's not nice to bite the hand which feeds you and because profit increasingly trumps principle in this country. Of course, the irony of all this is that for most of the past decade, Koch and others of his ilk have been the people saying "you have nothing to fear if you have nothing to hide" and claiming how important it is to take "personal responsibility" -- but when the shoe is on the other foot and their own backsides are on the proverbial hot seat, they're just as quick as anyone else to claim that their privacy is being invaded and that they shouldn't be held responsible for anything.
Never trust anyone who insists that patriotism requires you to blindfold yourself with the flag.

If we can get him on the traffic lanes of the Brooklyn Bridge, the cops can bust his head with their batons. Otherwise, NO.
far left loon >.<
I hope I live long enough to see these evil bastards brought to justice - or at least exposed, so that the imbecile Teabircher's can see just how stupid, clueless and completely taken they were by these SOB's.
If I were a psychopath, I would join the republican party, and get in on the gravy train taking the Teabircher morons to the cleaners.
Nothing will phase the Tea party morons, they're friggin zombies .

You can bet that the shredders have been warmed up and the collection of incriminating documents, hard-drives, and anything else that could link Koch to the payments or criminal wrongdoing has been stacked in front of those shredders. I'd hazard a guess that the money has started to flow surreptitiously to whomever the Kochs think can help them out of this mess, or keep there mouths shut.
Koch wrote that Bush speech anyways.
maybe the terrorists don't "hate us for our freedoms"....
perhaps they hate us for our 'Foreign Subsidiaries'?
or just being assholes, generally ......(minus the folks trying to change that)
far left loon >.<
And some of the class of Americans are Republicans--
and all of the class of Republicans since Lincoln and maybe Teddy Roosevelt are assholes.

Will it support him?, or not!
Only one candidate would have gotten us out of Iraq, and Afganistan!

I truly hate to disagree with all you fine folks who seem to be singing in perfect unison, but when did the Iranians be come our enemy?
Was it when we over threw their Democratically elected government in the 50's (Mossadeq) for BP (Anglo-Iranian oil company back then)?
Was it when we installed the Shah, a brutal Dictator who ruled with a boot on their necks for years?
Was it when we turned Sadam lose on them with chemical weapons we provided that killed a million of their citizens?
Was it when a US military ship shot down an Iranian "Passenger" airliner killing over 200 of their citizens?
Or how about today as CIA and Mossad agents murder Iranian scientist at work and in their homes in front of their families.
Like most of you I have no love for the low-life Koch brothers, but unlike most above I do not buy into the propaganda that the Iranians are our enemies!
So do the things you just listed sound like something friends do to each other?
You may not feel Iran is an enemy, but apparently the US Gov't does.
When are any of these right wing asshats EVER going to be thrown into court? Boy this rich guys get away with anything is getting more and more prevalent.
their admission of guilt...kocks and pope are riding ruff over the uninformed voter!
It is a free market system at it's best. Those that can afford bribes and those that cannot. If you are one of the "those people" that cannot afford to buy congressman and senators or have silly notions of morality it is because you are lazy or stupid and do not understand high finance, which means you did not attend the "right" schools..
Do you really think that us making money selling things to Iran has anything to do with the American soldiers being killed in Afghanistan. You are delusional and listening to too many crazy's like that nut job Michael Moore.
Quit complaining and accept that these matters are not your concern..
It is not that I feel like we don't owe Iran an apology or two for our ridiculous assumptions, as if we Americans know better how your country should be run.
God knows the CIA has probably cost us more good will world wide than any of our other stupid mistakes has.
That said, Iran has not been blameless either although we really should not have supplied Sadam with all those weapons during the Iran Iraq war.
I am off point, the point is that we have sanctions against Iran, agreed to by several country's in an international effort to keep a theocracy from have nuclear weapons (still a questionable goal as there are many, in the know, that don't believe that this is a threat).
The Koch boys, Halliburton and Romney's companies are breaking the law, regardless of whether any of us like that law is simply not the point.. If you have enough influence you don't have to play by the rules, that is the issue. Reagan did not have to go to jail for his two little miss-deeds with Iran either. Several of our banks have also been doing business with them against the law also.
We should be having a conversation in this country about sanctions in Iran but as long as we have agreed to sanctions those sanction should apply to everyone and prosecutions should follow. The excuse that it was a foreign subsidiary will not stand up in court.
I think most people know these Guys are COWARDS! There life involves dealing with people behind closed doors and making deals with people that would sell our Country out, just to line there own pockets.
as soon as he buys a few more peeps in DC.
leave him alone. he's too big to fail.
"It is not that I feel like we don't owe Iran an apology or two for our ridiculous assumptions, as if we Americans know better how your country should be run."
Apology??? By your standard Al-Qaeda could just "Apologize" to us for that little 9/11 misunderstanding and we could halt our extermination crusade.
We both know "the way of the world" and our reality just does not work that way. Using an unjust law to take down scum bags like the koch brothers seems intellectually dishonest.
We owe Iran much more than an apology; for what we have done to those people we should be brought to the World Criminal Court in the Hauge!
Things go better without Kochs!
