James Carville told Joy Reid on MSNBC that the media's penchant to push a "both sides" narrative for Trump's apparent stealing of classified documents is making a fool out of themselves.

MSNBC host Joy Reid opened by saying that the beltway media is trying to equate both classified document stories between presidents, but they are completely different -- all because the media wants to make it a both-sides issue.

Former President Clinton advisor James Carville had a lot of experience with a complicit press aiding the Republican party during the Clinton years.

"I want to congratulate you for pointing out that the national press can’t help but make fools of themselves. It happened in Whitewater, it happened in the email scandal, and it’s happening now," Carville said. "I can’t stop these people. It’s not my anointed job in the world to stop the national press from making a fool of themselves."

Carville said the White House should just say they are cooperating with the special counsel and doing their due diligence...

"You're going to stop these people from making fools of themselves, I promise you, you can try, I congratulate you, but, I've got more experience in this than most people," Carville repeated. "It's not going to work."

We know Biden's team responded immediately upon discovering some classified documents.

While Trump and his minions did quite the opposite and in effect acted criminally in doing so.

A Trump representative told NARA in December 2021 that presidential records had been found at Mar-A-Lago, nearly a year after Trump left office. Fifteen boxes of records containing some classified material were transferred from Mar-Lago to NARA in January.

A few months later, investigators from the Justice Department and FBI visited Mar-a-Lago to get more information about classified materials taken to Florida. Federal officials also served a subpoena for some documents believed to be at the estate.

In August 2022, FBI agents conducting a search retrieved 33 boxes from Mar-a-Lago. The search came after lawyers for Trump provided a sworn certification that all government records had been returned.
