"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." -- unofficial Postal Service motto

Hard to believe this video is real, but it is. Douglas Thron is "has been shooting professionally for 27 years. He is an FAA-certified amphibious pilot and uses high-end drones and airplanes to capture his images..."

Thron's business is making aerial videos of real estate listings in California. By showing homes from the air and using drones to capture the feel of landscaping and exterior architecture, Thron helps real estate agents get top dollar for properties in a market that seems to know no top price.

Until now.

The fires in California are still burning. House after house is flattened to nothing but ash. This video looks like a CGI disaster movie. But it's real. The good news is that Napa police allowed many residents to return to their homes Friday morning. However the Mercury News also reports:

Thursday night, the death toll of the wildfires burning in Northern California hit 31, becoming the deadliest in the state’s history. There are still about 400 people missing in Sonoma County, and officials fear the number of deaths may continue to grow.
