Fox News wants you to pay no attention to your vanishing 401(k) and global instability in the wake of the U.K.’s Brexit vote. Why? Because it’s such great Republican politics!

As Media Matters noted, the right-wing media is so thrilled at the thought that Brexit is a good omen for Donald Trump’s political fortunes, none of the other ramifications seems to matter.

In the Outnumbered segment below, the hosts did not (yet) specifically paint Brexit as a Trump win but the groundwork was definitely being laid.

In this opening segment, the clue to what was to come was the choice of guest hosts, not one of which had a single credential in global economics, British or European politics or foreign policy: Faux Fox liberal Eboni Williams, Trump operative and actress, Stacey Dash and Roger Ailes’ mouthpiece, attorney Peter Johnson, Jr.

As a split screen showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down almost 500 points, Johnson acknowledged that “for today” the Brexit vote means “big losses in the stock market.”

Cohost Melissa Francis, of Fox Business Network, does have at Ieast some business and economic background. She gushed, “I think it’s phenomenal that we’re only down 2.6% right now,” as the screen showed the Dow down 474.58. She added, “It is nothing like the rout that so many people predicted and I actually think we may come back a little bit more before the end of the day. Then everybody has the weekend to sit back and decide how they really want to play it.”

Actually, the Dow closed down about 611 points today.

Williams also gushed. “I think this was a bold, I think a brave move on the part of the citizens of the U.K.” She, too shrugged off the financial instability by saying, “To Peter’s point, we don’t know what the long-term fallout will be and neither do they. But I think it says a lot when the people of the U.K. say, 'We are willing to take that chance, we’re willing to take that risk and empower ourselves to be a part of the way we will be governed, moving forward, we’re gonna back our power, we want to be represented in a particular way.'”

But Williams looked like a genius soothsayer next to Dash. She announced that the Brexit vote was proof that everybody should vote for Trump.

DASH: This is extraordinary evidence that socialism just does not work. It doesn’t work. And I think this is perfect. This is perfect for us and if anyone is thinking of voting for Hillary Clinton, they need to look at this and think again.

Not one of the five people on the “fair and balanced” panel disagreed with anyone else.

Watch this hideous display above, from the June 24 Outnumbered.
