Wisconsin's dumb senator, Ron Johnson, did it again.

In a radio interview with squawk radio host Icky Vicki McKenna, RoJo had this to say in promotion of school choice:

“It’s unbelievable to me that liberals, that President Obama, of course he sends his children to private school, as did Al Gore, and Bill Clinton and every other celebrated liberal,” Johnson said Monday on 1310 WIBA–Madison. “They just don’t want to let those idiot inner city kids that they purport to be so supportive of…they don’t want to give them the same opportunity their own kids have. It’s disgraceful.”

RoJo later said that he regretted the remark, not because he doesn't think that inner city kids are idiots, but because it got him a lot of backlash.

It should be noted that to put his foot in his mouth, RoJo had stepped away from lecturing MIT physicist Ernest Moniz about electromagnetic pulse weapons:

A bit of context: Johnson is the senior senator from Wisconsin and a Republican. Ernest Moniz is the secretary of energy and one of the lead US negotiators on the Iran deal. Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapons are a nonsense science fiction "threat" and a longtime point of obsession among certain conservatives, such as Newt Gingrich and Ron Johnson. Johnson's line of questioning, to a top-of-his-field nuclear physicist, is a little like asking Neil Armstrong if he thinks the moon landing might have been faked.

But hey, what do you expect from a guy who thinks that global climate change is caused by sunspots?

I am really looking forward to the debates between this doofus and Russ Feingold.
