From this Tuesday's The Economy Summit hosted by The Atlantic, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka explains to Margaret Carlson how just belonging to a union closes the wage gap for women.

From The Atlantic's The Economy Summit 2014 which aired this Tuesday, the AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka was asked by Bloomberg's Margaret Carlson what labor unions were doing to "get parity for women and minorities on wages."

As Trumka explained, just belonging to a union takes care of that wage gap, because it doesn't exist, and women are paid the same as their male counterparts if they're working the same job. He also read off a list of statistics on the wage gaps for unionized and non-unionized workers which you can read more about here and here.
