Chuck Todd and Savanah Guthrie opened this segment with Guthrie asking if a GOP moderate "is becoming an endangered species?" They bring on "moderate" Christine Todd Whitman to discuss the topic who Chuck Todd informs us now works for the "Clean and Safe Energy Coalition." Heaven forbid he couldn't be bothered to call her what she is -- a corporate lobbyist working for a group funded by the Nuclear Energy Institute.

Just because this woman isn't some rabid flame thrower like Newt Gingrich doesn't mean she hasn't done some things that are just as reprehensible. She had massive conflicts of interest when she ran the EPA and she helped cover up the problems with the air quality for the clean up workers after 9-11 at ground zero. And she's not a rarity. Washington D.C. is filled with her ilk. Most of them prefer to stay off of the television, but they're hardly an "endangered species."
