Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani complained on Sunday about how Hunter Biden's hard drive contributed to his financial problems.

"[FBI Director] Christopher Wray is another traitor to the United States to withhold the hard drive in the 2020 election, basically effectively killed a couple hundred thousand Ukrainians," Giuliani griped on his WABC radio program. "Thank you, Christopher Wray, traitor."

Giuliani's co-host and girlfriend, Maria Ryan, argued that the former mayor had been wrongly accused of peddling Russian propaganda.

"A complete lie for which they have never apologized or — or given me the money they took away from me as a result of that, including the destruction of my law practice," Giuliani agreed.

A former lawyer for Donald Trump, Giuliani filed for bankruptcy shortly after a federal jury ordered him to pay $148 million in damages. The verdict, issued on December 15, 2023, was in favor of two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss. They claimed Giuliani defamed them by falsely accusing them of election fraud, leading to severe harassment.

Giuliani's bankruptcy filing, recorded six days after the verdict, lists liabilities nearing $153 million against assets valued between $1 million and $10 million.

Despite the bankruptcy filing, legal experts assert that U.S. bankruptcy law does not protect individuals from debts incurred through "willful and malicious injury," which may apply to Giuliani's defamation case.
