We all know that the border issue isn't a top priority for Republicans. That's just how they get support from their base. For the first time in history, we have a former President calling the shots with his party after not taking his 2020 defeat well. And Republicans are happy to do his bidding. Biden has been in politics for years, so he's good at this. He has an idea. Trump won't accept it, but that will further expose him as a selfish, fatuous former President.

"Let me end with this: I understand my predecessor is in Eagle Pass today, so here's what I would say to Mr. Trump: instead of playing politics with this issue, instead of telling members of Congress to block this legislation, join me, or I'll join you, in telling the Congress to pass this bipartisan border security bill," Biden said while visiting the border.

"We can do it together," he continued. You know, and I know it's the toughest, most efficient, most effective border security bill this country has ever seen, so instead of playing politics with the issue, why don't we just get together and get it done."

"Let's remember who the heck we work for," he added. "We work for the American people, not the Democratic Party, the Republican Party, we work for the American people."

Well done! And Trump has never put the American people first. His answer to this will be something petty, and probably to falsely claim that it's not a good deal. It's an excellent deal for Republicans. They blew it once, and Lumpy will blow it again.
