Things aren't going well for former President Donald Trump in the defamation trial brought by author E. Jean Carroll on Tuesday. Even Judge Lewis Kaplan hushed Trump's longtime adviser, Boris Epshteyn, at one point. Politico legal reporter Eric Orden posted on Xitter just after 3:00 pm that "Trump appears to have left the courthouse for the day." Everything seemed to be against the twice-impeached, multiply charged former President, including the seating in the courtroom, which he wasn't happy about.

The Judge told the nine jurors that they must accept as true that Trump forcibly sexually assaulted E. Jean Carroll and defamed her when he denied it. "His false statements tended to disparage Ms. Carroll or tended to expose her to hatred or to induce an unsavory opinion of her," he said.

"Ms. Carroll did not make up her claim of forcible sexual abuse," Judge Kaplan told the jurors.

Then Trump took his angry little fingers to his struggling Truth Social platform to explode at the 'bully" judge, who he called a Trump-hater while he was presumably on his way to New Hampshire.

"I should be in New Hampshire, campaigning and fighting for our Country, and I will be later today, but for now I had to spend time in a Federal Courthouse with a Trump Hating, Radical Left Judge, on a case that is another politically biased WITCH HUNT — ONE DAY AFTER IOWA, AND JUST AHEAD OF THE IMPORTANT NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY," he wrote, while totally not acting guilty at all. 'THIS HOAX, WHICH THE "BULLY" JUDGE CHOSE TO HAVE AS TWO TRIALS INSTEAD OF MERGING INTO ONE, IS A DISGRACE, AND EVERYONE KNOWS IT. His former Law Clerk(?) is on the other side. Anyway, I'll be in New Hampshire at 6:30 P.M., a BIG crowd is waiting. MAGA!!!

Yeah, there is no way to spin this as a good day for the rapist:

Today's trial comes just one day after Trump won the Iowa caucus, but he underperformed. Still, as Frances Langum noted, Iowa evangelicals threw baby Jesus under the bus and pretended as if they didn't just support a rapist. No one has ever told Trump that lashing out at a judge before, during, and after a trial won't go down well for him. Let's not tell him though, okay?

Calm your angry yams, Trump. They haven't even started yet. He's facing 91 charges, after all.
