You just had to know that Rep. James Comer would earn himself a Crookie 2023 Baddie Award for being a duplicitous piece of dumbshit. You were right.

Kentucky Rep. James Comer was their guy. Republicans, at Trump's bidding, were going to launch investigations into President Joe Biden as revenge for the former President's impeachments. They took the House, and now they would move in on the President. Oh, sweet revenge!

The problem here is that highly damaging evidence was presented to impeach Lumpy. Republicans have come up empty with tying Biden to his son's financial dealings. Empty.

And Trump's second impeachment, unlike his first, was bipartisan. 10 Republican lawmakers joined Democrats to cast their vote to impeach Trump. Every Democrat has voted against an impeachment inquiry into Biden.

The Congressional Integrity Project described Comer's impeachment effort as "eight months of abject failure."

Comer, the chair of the oversight committee, has "repeatedly overhyped allegations of bribery and corruption against Biden without once producing hard evidence," according to the watchdog report.

In other words, he/they lied to spin this country into chaos on false charges before the 2024 election. That sure sounds like election interference to me.

But then they thought they really had something. They finally caught Biden in a massive scandal. (wink wink)

Hunter Biden had the audacity to repay his father for several car payments he had paid on his behalf when he was cleaning up his life. Republicans are mad that Hunter repaid the loan. I hate when writers say, 'Let that sink in,' but holy shit, let that sink in.

They saw a scandal over the well-documented (there is even a photo of the transaction) repaid loan to Biden's son.

"You can loan people money. If they pay you back, then you benefited directly from the influence-peddling!" Comer said in early December, just before I reached inside the TV set and slapped the shit out of him.

Of course, Republicans have been champing at the bit to get Hunter Biden to testify.

Hunter Biden was all too happy to appear before the enablers of their carelessly corrupt and fatuous former President, but with one caveat that no reasonable person could argue with: Let's do it publicly.

Hunter called their bluff. If Republicans refused his public testimony, then they weren't genuine about alleging that Biden has committed high crimes and misdemeanors. It could be that Biden just loaned his son money to pay his car payments, and he's a really good father.

Republicans were not happy about that at all. It's like they told on themselves.

It's always about projection.

According to a report from the Associated Press, Comer is guilty of the same sort of business dealings that he's accusing the Bidens of, including the shell companies, and how he accused Biden's relatives of trading on their famous name to secure business deals – when, in fact, he is guilty of what he's blaming the Bidens of.

Have you noticed that Republicans haven't mentioned Hunter Biden's laptop much lately? You know, the one that's had more hands on it than Kimberly Guilfoyle. Weird, huh?

Take your Crookie Award, and go back to Crazy McFuckstick at Mar-a-Lago to confirm that you did his bidding, Comer. That will get you the same thing it's gotten everyone else who has sacrificed their reputation for that Drain the Swamp fabulist. Nothing. Sucker.
