One of the main things other senators give as the reason they can't stand Ted Cruz is that they know he's too smart to believe the things he says.

Here's an example.

Here's Cancun Cruz on Hannity, blaming Joe Biden for the "open" border, because more immigrants on the terror watch list are being caught. At the border. In numbers greater than Trump did.

So there you go. Joe Biden is too efficient, catching more terrorists at the border. I don't know why Cruz has a problem with that, nor do I actually care. But if you say it on Fox with your angry face, and gesture emphatically while you say it, the viewers believe that it's somehow nefarious.

Which is what Ted Cruz wants them to believe.
