Remember when an Indiana chapter of Moms for Liberty apologized for quoting Hitler in its newsletter? Its chapter chair posted on Facebook about the since-removed quote, “We condemn Adolf Hitler's actions and his dark place in human history. We should not have quoted him in our newsletter and express our deepest apology."

That was so last month ago.

In their summit last weekend, co-founder Tiffany Justice gave the quote a ringing endorsement: “There is always a reason why something happens,” Justice said on stage. “One of our moms in a newsletter quotes Hitler.” The audience began cheering before Justice had finished her thought. “I stand with that mom,” she added to loud cheers and applause.

The video ends there but presumably Justice went on to say that the Hitler quote was a blessing of some kind.

Even worse, Republican presidential candidates are kissing the rings of these book-banning Hitler lovers. Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy and “moderates” Asa Hutchinson and Nikki Haley were all featured speakers at the gathering.

As Matthew Sheffield tweeted, “This is what Christofacism looks like.” It’s now part and parcel of the GOP mainstream.
