When Rep. Adam Schiff, the lead Democratic prosecutor in Donald Trump's Senate impeachment trial, said the now-former President "will not change, and you know it," he nailed it. The twice-impeached twice-indicted, sexually abusing former President should be fighting for his life. Still, his narcissistic brain cannot admit wrongdoing even while he's facing 71 charges -- so far.

Trump took to his struggling Truth Social platform to say that he is owed an apology, called special counsel Jack Smith "deranged," and said that everything "illegally taken" from his Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago, should be returned.

"SO NOW THAT EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS THAT THE PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT, PLUS THE CLINTON SOCKS CASE, TOTALLY EXONERATED ME FROM THE CONTINUING WITCH HUNT BROUGHT ON BY CORRUPT JOE BIDEN, THE DOJ, DERANGED JACK SMITH, AND THEIR RADICAL LEFT, MARXIST THUGS, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO DROP ALL CHARGES AGAINST ME, APOLOGIZE, AND RETURN EVERYTHING THAT WAS ILLEGALLY TAKEN (FOURTH AMENDMENT) FROM MY HOME? THIS WAS NOTHING OTHER THAN ELECTION INTERFERENCE!!!" he wrote.

Sigh. Our country's most sensitive secrets do not belong to him. The Presidential Records Act and the Clinton Socks case do not exonerate the one-term President. Some of the material that Trump hoarded contained nuclear secrets, and military activities of other countries.

The difference:

If Trump had simply returned all the classified documents he had, he probably never would have been charged with any crimes, said Robert Mintz, a former federal prosecutor.

The Presidential Records Act requires the preservation of White House documents as property of the U.S. government, not former Presidents.

In a separate post, he wrote, "PROSECUTORIAL MISCONDUCT AT A LEVEL SELDOM SEEN IN OUR COUNTRY BEFORE!"

And now he wants those documents back. As Schiff said, he will never change.

I'll just leave this here:
