Rep James Comer is technically the Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, but his actual job is to provide Fox with several hours of distraction content when Donald Trump gets a unanimous jury verdict against him. Not to mention the breaking news of the ARREST of George Santos.
So Comer held another feckless press conference earlier today attacking the Bidens. And Fox had a countdown clock to the presser all morning long. Not making that up.
It's all about the gaslighting.
Fox News aired almost fifty minutes of Comer's press conference uninterrupted where each Republican committee member claimed Biden was guilty, guilty, guilty - of something.
"Instead of being honest with the American people, President Biden has claimed since the 2020 election that his family has not received money from China," Comer said. "That was a lie in 2020, and he continues to lie to the American people now."
"The Biden's have received millions of dollars from China. It is inconceivable that the president did not know it," he continued. "The White House refuses to correct the president's statements, showing the president is now using the federal government to run interference for his families and his own role in these."
I've never seen any Congressional Committee (Chairman Comer) hold so many press conferences without indicting someone or offering up actual evidence. Innuendos, assumptions, and vitriolic statements are not proof.
Smokescreens are now Comer's main political tool.
It's apparent that Rep. Comer and the Republican party are using the House of Representatives as a buttress for Trump and bludgeoning battering rams against President Biden.
