Bud Light's brand has supported the LGBTQ+ community for over 20 years, but Republicans/conservatives have launched a boycott as if it's something new. Kid Rock went as far as to shoot cases of Bud Light with a gun while failing to mention a resurfaced photo of him drinking Bud Light with a drag performer.

So, of course, while the faux outrage is being exposed, we now find out that the parent company of Bud Light, Anheuser-Busch, is one of the largest donors to the National Republican Congressional Committee, so they quietly deleted a fundraising page on Saturday that targeted the brand.

Via The Daily Beast:

The NRCC's backpedaling follows conservative calls for a boycott of the beer company after it partnered with transgender TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney.

On Saturday morning, the powerful committee supporting Republican congressional campaigns blasted out a tweet calling for supporters to donate to the NRCC and, in exchange, be given a custom drink koozie.

"Thanks to Dylan Mulvaney, we can all finally admit that Bud Light tastes like water," the NRCC said in a since-deleted tweet that The Daily Beast reviewed and can be seen below. "With our new koozies, you can make sure no one confuses Bud Light with real beer ever again."

The revelations must have dawned on Donald Trump Jr, who finally called on conservatives to end their boycott of Budweiser and Anheuser-Busch during his ironically named show "Triggered With Don Jr."

"I'm not for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this," he said.

But that was before he found out about the donations. Plot twist: Anheuser-Busch has made political contributions to some politicians who have supported anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.
