In a lengthy opening rant Monday, Tucker Carlson claimed January 6th insurrectionists were just citizens who voted the wrong way and people should not fantasize about locking up political rivals.

The possible indictment of Trump in New York has turned the MAGA cult into mindless screaming banshees.

Carlson opened by saying if Trump is arrested it would destroy the nation forever. Then he switched to his other pet project: The January 6 insurrectionists.

"They want protestors who vote the wrong way to get locked up," Carlson said. "Now, it goes without saying, this is an inversion of what you're supposed to want in a sane society. In a sane society, you let elections determine who has political power."

Carlson really said freaking that.

Biden won by more than 7,000,000 votes, but Fox News hosts and Trump media minions still claim, with no proof whatsoever, that massive voter fraud affected the outcome of the 2020 election.

Then Tuckems told a big whopper.

"You don't fantasize about your political opponents going to jail," Carlson said with a straight face.

During the 2016 president election Donald Trump, Michael Flynn and many of Trump supporters and media surrogates demanded on a daily basis that Hillary Clinton be locked up. A chant of "lock her up" was the centerpiece of every Trump rally and speech.

"You don't want a real show of force to deter constitutionally protected protests, because those protests are the sign of a free society," Carlson said.

Violently attacking the US Capitol is not a protected protest. That is not a sign of a free society.

"You're proud of that. The people can protest. They don't have to be violent."

Yet, Trump supporters were ultra violent and destructive.

"They can say what they think. But that has changed over the last two years under the Biden administration."

When has that happened? Fox News has claimed Biden is mentally ill since he ran for the presidency.
