Trump ran a rerun of his speech that incited the Jan 6 insurrection and told his followers to "protest and take back the country" if he's arrested.

In Orlando Florida on Sunday, Speaking McCarthy said nobody should violently protest if Trump is arrested, and then proceeded to gaslight what Trump actually said to his supporters.

Trump's "Truth Social" message was clearly designed to fuel MAGA rage.

“I don’t think people should protest this, no,” McCarthy said. "I think President Trump, if you talked to him, doesn’t believe that either."

As usual, a Trump surrogate must reinterpret what Trump says and means, in order to help him save face.

"I think the thing that you may misinterpret when President Trump talks," he said. "When someone says that they can protest, he’s probably referring to my tweet: educate people about what’s going on. He’s not talking in a harmful way, and nobody should.”

No one is misinterpreting Trump except Kevin McCarthy's lying lips.

OF COURSE, Trump wants a massive protest from his supporters.

Trump's call for protests was a rerun of his speech that incited the Jan 6 insurrection, which told his followers to protest and take back the country if he's arrested.

McCarthy attacked the NY prosecutor even though the Speaker hasn't seen any evidence leading to Trump's indictment or even if he will be arrested, except from Trump himself.
