In an effort to smear the Biden administration and of course, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Fox News host Jesse Waters equated the East Palestine train derailment (where no American lost their lives), to over 3000 people killed at the Twin Towers on 9/11, the site of the largest terrorist attack on American soil.

Watters opened his Thursday program by attacking Buttigieg for wearing hazardous gear at the derailment.

But he didn't stop there.

"Sneaky Pete went to shake some hands with the same white construction workers he called racist," he said.

Huh? When did the Transportation Secretary call construction workers racist? He didn't, but Watters is slime personified in his MAGA performative shtick.

"But Pete's photo op backfired because he looked like he was wearing a Halloween costume."

Wow, that's called bringing the heat, Jesse.

Since the train derailment is a state and local issue first, it is Governor DeWine's providence to handle it, and tell the Biden administration if and what he needed. The Ohio governor said the President had called but everything was already being done.

"The President called me and said anything you need. I have not called him back after that conversation," he said. "I will not hesitate to do that if we see a problem or anything, but I’m not seeing it."

Reality is never part of Watters's act.

Now comes the most odious comparison a right-wing a-hole has made between the attacks on 9/11, and a nonlethal train derailment just for a quick chuckle.

After Fox News edited a video of a female staffer being asked a question by a reporter, Watters said the unthinkable.

"This is like Rudy visiting Ground Zero three weeks later and wondering why people are asking him questions," Watters remarked. "Too little too late, Petey."

Rudy Giuliani has turned into a caricature of a cartoon character, and is in the process of possibly losing the ability to ever practice law again.

Besides that, could Pete have gone sooner? Sure. Would it have helped anything? No.

It's an odd thing for people and journos to attack politicians for not doing a photo up.

Watters is the bottom of the barrel.
