CPAC chairman Matt Schlapp is being accused of groping the crotch of a male staffer for Herschel Walker's campaign while driving back from a bar in October, and now some damning texts from the alleged victim have been released. CNN obtained the texts, and it further corroborates the previous reporting on the groping incident.

"He's pissed I didn't follow him to his hotel room," the staffer wrote to an acquaintance. "I just don't know how to say it to my superiors that heir [sic] surrogate fondled my junk without my consent."

"I'm so sorry man. What a f**king creep," the friend responded.

The alleged victim disclosed what had happened to Herchel Walker's campaign, so he was immediately relieved from having to drive Schlapp around.

The CPAC chair texted the staffer to tell him that he was in the lobby, and the staffer texted back, "I was uncomfortable with what happened last night. The campaign does have a driver who is available to get you to Macon and back to the airport."

"If you could see it in your heart to call me at the end of the day," Schlapp replied. "I would appreciate it. If not I wish you luck on the campaign."

Via CNN:

ACU leadership defended Schlapp in a statement that called the initial report an attempt at “character assassination.” The group’s first and second vice chairs added, “We stand squarely behind Matt Schlapp, and the ACU Board of Directors has full confidence in his leadership of the organization.”

I have questions. Why haven't prominent Republicans called Schlapp out? And why is it always the anti-LGBTQ+ Republicans who get caught in same-sex scandals? Every single time.

And how do they categorically deny something that is corroborated with real time reports and text messages? Jamie Gangel of CNN also reports that the staffer made videos documenting his version of events at the time they happened.
