Everyone should watch this and share it. Democrats should send it to their constituents. Everyone should remember this for all of history.

In a historic moment on Monday, the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol unveiled criminal referrals targeting former President Donald Trump for inciting an insurrection, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make a false statement, and obstruction of an official proceeding. The committee's referral says there is sufficient evidence to refer Trump on those charges.

The panel's video clips showed testimonies from officers, former Trump officials, and Trump telling Georgia officials, "I only need 11,000 votes." The video presented testimonies from Russell Bowers (the Republican Arizona official), former Attorney General William Barr, Trump's former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen, former White House counsel Pat Cipollone, and others. All of them pointed to Trump.

The video showed how Trump tried to pressure vice president Mike Pence into overturning the election results featuring a long list of officials tied to the ex-president's administration.

All of that happened before Trump gave his Jan. 6 speech, whipping his crowd of supporters into a frenzy. Trump knew the election wasn't stolen or rigged, but he summoned the mob anyway. The committee showed a clip of a Jan. 6 defendant saying that Trump called for them to be there that day and another clip of a different defendant testifying that they "were following what he said."

The panel showed what Trump did in response to the attack for 187 minutes: nothing. Testimonies by Trump officials of the former president told of Trump failing to call the Secretary of Defense after the Capitol was breached. He did not call the Attorney General, either. Or the head of Homeland Security.

He did not call for the National Guard, either. He did nothing while we were under attack.

Nothing.
