Cowboys for Trump founder Couy Griffin was so hostile and disruptive that one county commissioner threw everyone out of the room and another says she is filing a restraining order against him.
November 15, 2022

You may recall that a judge removed Griffin from his position as a commissioner of Otero County, NM for participating in the Jan. 6 insurrection and barred him from ever holding any state or federal office in the future.

Like so many Trumpers, the insurrectionist is playing the victim – and using his “victimhood” as a pretext for aggressive, combative behavior.

In this case, Griffin went after his Democratic, governor-appointed replacement, Stephanie DuBois, at a November 10, 2022 county commission meeting.

The NM Political Report has the deets:

"Couy Griffin, duly elected and legitimate county commissioner of District 2 as well as founder of Cowboys for Trump and I’d like to just start out by saying looking up here at you Stephanie (DuBois) in that seat is a total disgrace,” Griffin declared.

Griffin said that he felt DuBois’ appointment was disgraceful because she has run for office in Otero County eight times including in last week’s election and has lost each time.

DuBois interjected and Griffin said that “I’m talking right now. This is not a conversation.”

DuBois urged Griffin to stop his attack on her but he continued calling her a disgrace and a loser.

DuBois said that she felt like she was being publicly violated while the public were cheering on her attacker.

Eventually, the sheriff took Griffin’s microphone away and, amid lots of shouting, the chairwoman ordered everyone out of the room. The livestream was interrupted for about 13 minutes.

When the meeting reconvened, Griffin was given three more minutes to speak, even though public comments are supposed to last only three minutes, total. He “apologized” to DuBois, saying, “Maybe you felt a little bit of a burn that I felt the last three years up there because this is the way that y’all have treated me.” He claimed that he “didn’t mean it personally.”

“It was meant personally,” Dubois shot back.

According to NM Political Report, DuBois, “is in the process" of filing a restraining order against Griffin.

Griffin knows he was legally barred from office, just like he was legally convicted for participating in the Jan. 6 insurrection and legally prevented from making the Otero County taxpayers pay his legal costs.

In other words, he was only at the meeting to make trouble and to rile up his supporters, which he accomplished.

There’s no reason to believe this dangerous MAGAite will go away any time soon.
