Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan came out swinging in the Ohio Senate debate and didn't give up on Republican J.D. Vance, who was just left standing by his podium without much to counter Ryan with. On every single topic, Ryan buried Vance.

Ryan hit Vance for investing in China and called him out for his disgusting toxic stand on reproductive rights. I'm not too old to remember when good old J.D. said that rape was "inconvenient." Tell me about it, Mr. Man.

Ryan wasn't finished spanking his Republican opponent in front of the world. He smacked Vance, who founded "Our Ohio Renewal" a day after the 2016 presidential election. Vance reportedly promoted the charity as a vehicle for helping solve the scourge of opioid addiction that he had spoken about in his memoir "Hillbilly Elegy."

The Associated Press reported in August:

But Vance shuttered the nonprofit last year and its foundation in May, shortly after clinching the state's Republican nomination for U.S. Senate, according to state records reviewed by The Associated Press. An AP review found that the charity's most notable accomplishment — sending an addiction specialist to Ohio's Appalachian region for a yearlong residency — was tainted by ties among the doctor, the institute that employed her, and Purdue Pharma, the manufacturer of OxyContin.

Ohhh. I see. So, he's a Trump-endorsed Republican, eh? You don't say.

"You know what I haven't done?" Ryan said. "I haven't started a fake nonprofit pretending like I was gonna help people with addiction like J.D. Vance did. He literally started a nonprofit and didn't spend one nickel on anybody. In fact, he brought in somebody from Perdue Pharma to be the spokesperson for the nonprofit. The same drug company, big Pharma that had all the pill mills going. Got everyone addicted."

"One million people died, J.D.," Ryan said to Vance. "And you started a nonprofit to take advantage of people in Ohio. And you know what, all you did with it was launch your political career. "

Ouch. I've read books about the Oxy Express and how so many lives were ruined. Doctors ended up going to prison. The whole system was fucked up beyond belief, but it sure sounds like J.D. would have fit right in with those soul-crushing grifters. He literally sounds like one of the awful, soulless characters I've read about in books on that topic. And the books weren't fiction, and neither is Vance's dalliance with Big Pharma while people died.

Can someone do a welfare check on J.D., please? I'm kind of worried about him after this:
