Trump's former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said on CNN Thursday that only six or eight people could be the informant for the FBI on the former President. On Monday, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said pretty much the same thing, noting that someone close to the twice impeached one-term President must be tipping off the FBI.

"I didn't know there was a safe at Mar-a-Lago, and I was the chief of staff for 15 months," Mulvaney said. "This would be someone handling things on day to day, who knew where documents were, so it would be somebody very close to the president; my guess is there are probably six or eight people who had that kind of information."

"I don't know the people on the inside circle these days," he added. "I can't give any names of folks who come to mind, but your instinct is a good one; if you know where the safe is, and you know the documents are in ten boxes in the basement, you are pretty close to the president."

Federal agents removed about a dozen boxes of materials from Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate this week. That doesn't include the boxes containing sensitive national security documents that feds removed in June with a grand jury subpoena.

My money is on Mark Meadows. He's been very quiet lately, and he's up to his eyeballs in this hot mess. Who do you think it is?
