We all know it: The media wants a showdown between Trump and Ron DeSantis so bad they can taste it. And if Charlie Crist becomes the next Florida governor, that throws a big monkey wrench into that "Ron DeSantis is inevitable" narrative.

So they will continue to push that story line, no matter the facts.

Well, if DeSantis has consciously aped Trump, Charlie Crist has a Mr. Rogers vibe that's very similar to Joe Biden's -- and he seemed to do pretty well against Trumpian bluster.

Every single news story I've seen about Crist's win is immediately followed by "but of course he doesn't have Ron DeSantis's massive war chest." Well, now that he has the nomination, small-dollar Dem donors across America will step up. Because we know Ron DeSantis is a fascist authoritarian. (I already donated this morning.)

Charlie Crist has been openly and consistently pro-choice since 1997, and that record will push his under-the-radar results. Pro-abortion rights candidates did very well last night, and we can expect the same in November -- no matter what the media says.

No, a Republican House is not any more inevitable than DeSantis is. Ignore the pundits, put your head down and do the work.
