Happy first weekend of the National Emergency!
I'm sure that Donald Trump spends every second on the golf course this weekend thinking about how to deal with this great "emergency" of a wall--which he's already building (?)--on the southern border.
Right???
There's no time to think about babies in cages, separated from their mothers seeking legal asylum.
There's no time to think about yet another shooting, resulting in multiple deaths by a white American man with a history of domestic violence, a correlation we see again and again in these mass shootings.
There's certainly no time to consider that there have been 6,400 incidents and 1,735 gun deaths this year alone.
There's no time to think about babies getting measles because of affluent white parents (some in the White House) pushing anti-science anti-vaxxer nonsense, risking lives and literally bringing back diseases we had basically eradicated.
There's definitely no time to consider that we have --AT BEST -- ten years to address aggressively Climate Change before it's too late.
I could literally spend ten minutes and come up with twenty more critical and urgent items that need to be addressed for the sake of the globe and this country. But every time I think about it, I just get more frustrated by this Bizarro World we're stuck in that won't allow for this kind of debate on these shows purportedly produced for this purpose. They all know that Trump is crazy and lying, but they'll still bring on proxies to defend it as if this is the most normal thing in the world.
So, I think I'll just watch Bob Ross and his happy trees and clouds instead. At least that makes sense.
