As Trump was bragging about how awesome his response was in Puerto Rico after the hurricane hit, he bragged to Mike Huckabee that he was proud of coining the phrase "fake" around the news.

Mike Huckabee, whose level of boot-licking is unparalleled on any news network, gave the mother of all softball interviews to the president on TBN.

Trump, as is his wont, bragged and bragged about how terrific his responses were to all the hurricanes that hit, including in Puerto Rico. But like the good little sycophant that he is, Huckabee took umbrage to the way Trump was covered by the media on his behalf.

Huckabee said it was shocking to see Puerto Rican government officials praise Trump for his "pitch perfect efforts" while the media disagreed and he asked Trump if it frustrated him.

Trump replied, "I will say this. It's fake news. There's nothing else you can say about it."

Trump went on and on about how much praise he received from the locals and said the one person who criticized him (Mayor of San Juan Carmen Yulín Cruz) was "not a capable person."

Trump then discussed his throwing towels into a crowd of desperate people as a media hit job.

This man is a pig.

"They had these beautiful, soft towels, very good towels. And I came in and there was a crowd of a lot of people, and they were screaming and they were loving everything."

Everybody was having such a good time in Puerto Rico, don't you know? It was one big party actually. To hell with having no water or power, gas, diapers, medication, ice or food. We've got paper towels!

He continued, "I was having fun, they were having fun.”

"They said, ‘Throw ‘em to me! Throw ‘em to me Mr. President!’" as he imitated shooting a basketball in the same way he tossed the paper towels.

"And the cheering when I walked in..."

Huckabee said, "You were a rock star..."

"The cheering was deafening," Trump said.

Trump then said, "Look, the media's fake."

"If I do something wrong, treat me badly, but when we're doing good it should be fair. The media is, really, word...I think one of the greatest of all terms I’ve come up with is ‘fake,' ” Trump said.

“I guess other people have used it, perhaps over the years, but I’ve never noticed it." Obviously, Trump is unaware of our tens of thousands of posts on Fox News reporting over the years. And isn't it just like the narcissist to take credit for coining a term because he never heard of it before it came out of his mouth?

"And they [the 'fake news' media accurately reporting all the insensitive and stupid things Trump does] really hurt the country because they take away the spirit of the country."

This is how an narcissistic authoritarian views the free press, with the assistance of a groveling sycophant like Huckabee.
